Not really. Military service is quite common in the US, especially in previous decades. In fact, I can only think of a couple of serial killers with military experience in the post-draft period. People with severe mental disorders usually can't hack it in the military. Eric Harris (Columbine shooter) tried to join the USMC but was rejected after he failed the psych exams. Ng himself was constantly in trouble and was eventually bounced from the service.

Not really. Military service is quite common in the US, especially in previous decades. In fact, I can only think of a couple of serial killers with military experience in the post-draft period. People with severe mental disorders usually can't hack it in the military. Eric Harris (Columbine shooter) tried to join the USMC but was rejected after he failed the psych exams. Ng himself was constantly in trouble and was eventually bounced from the service.

Your description is quite wrong, NG is Vietnamese not Chinese, he and lake didnt get arrested for murder but shoplifting, Ng got away but lake took a cyanide pill in the station and died (if he hadnt they could have killed many more people) and Ng was arrested in Canada later after the bodies where found (he was arrested for shoplifting again).
