I feel this video is very honest about the Margaret/Thornton relationship. It wasn't all romance and flowers--it did take them awhile to understand each other (especially he understanding her).

The effects are so awesome here! They really do capture the tension.

I ended up favoriting this one. It is wonderful!

I had forgotten my comment & had to reread it. Based on the book (which I'm reading right now), she does understand completely where he's coming from, she just doesn't agree with his viewpoint. Also, per the Patricia Ingham introduction, Margaret is always right. (For reasons dealing with workers' rights, feminism, economics, etc...Margaret is always right. Gaskell's other books have feminist heroines and take very liberal stances on work places issues as well.)
