My dad died on january 1st 2012. I've never seen anybody care so much about someone like he cared about us. I miss him so much and tonight is one of those nights where it's killing me more than usual. He's my angel. <3 & my heart goes out to everyone who has lost someone.

This is so true.I lost my Dad 2 weeks ago,the pain is unreal,in fact a bit of me will not believe it,I still think of him as "here".Bless you all in the same position x
Dad & I were like the old bull & the young one, butting heads because I was to stupid & headstrong. We fought most of the years we had together but in the spring of 1995 after not speaking for over a year he called me wanting to talk. He had never done that. We met & for the first time really talked WITH eachother. Thats the start of a good friendship that lasted untill he died July 2006. I think he knew he was dying and his last words to me were of love and pride in me. I LOVE AND MISS YOU DAD

Amazingly he never physically harmed any of his 6 kids, but my mother took abuse for a time. Instead when my father decided to get his life together he devoted everything he had into work and provision, but his emotions were defiled and never repaired but to an extent. I was afraid of my father and hated him.
When we lose our Father it is hard to imagine that the pain will ever ease or that the emptiness in our hearts will ever be truly filled. There is comfort in knowing that all of us share these devastating emotions. Keep him in your heart, find solace in the magical moments you shared as one and you will make him proud. to think that the hurt my dad left me was horrible i cant stans it at times but to know im not alone makes me smile to knw he is still with me in my heart well...... thats the best feeling feeling ever to knw he always loves me

my dad died in april 2nd sat 2011 he had a heart attack we went to the cn tower and stuff and then at 9:30 pm he died i miss him sooo much :""(
