@tvs82nrs Back then, almost everyone was related due to close quarters and of course the youngness of the world. So, unless you felt like moving to another country, there was little chance of not being related to who you married. Plus, at least he's not marrying his sister or mother, like the Egyptians did.

David was a man after God's own heart but he killed a man to have his wife. So a lot of "men of God" did bad things either in the past or during their relationship and were forgiven but some also paid for their horrible deeds. David's first son died as punishment for what he did.
