PEGI is terrible. Worst rating system. IMO, most 12+ down games should be 3+, most 18+ down should be 12+.

@giuguletzu Yep. Same thing goes with Resident Evil 5. I played a little, but my mom found the box and it was written "18+" on it. They warned me I won't ever play any games, if they'll catch me playing other 18+ game.

@sonicbrother129 They haven't rated it yet, since it's not done yet, it's just a provisional rating according to Skyrim's site. BTW, I wouldn't be allowed either if it's 18 but It's no problem to me :D

That is the fault of the parents/the store for letting their kid have it/selling it to the 16 year old. Nothing Treyarch can do once it is in the store. They did their bit by getting an 18 rating.

@BigAndGoodPanda PEGI это ограничение по возрасту в США и в других странах, если PEGI 7+ то любому человеку с возрастом больше 7 лет продадут игру, а допустим у нас в России GTA 4 -PEGI +18 но продают игры кому угодно, т.к у нас этого закона вроде бы нет.

Pegi is based on Kijkwijzer, film classification in the Netherlands what works good.

But mostly classifications are based on cultural aspects, some films here get AL (not harmful/for everyone) with heavy language, in the UK it could be 15+.

With games, they took high averages, what means that it gets high classifications.

For instance, Sims 2/3, 12+ for sexual content or something, WTF? Or some other song theme for wthe WI, kind of a game with Micheal Jackson, 16+ of sexual things? really...

It's a pity that no one cares about this anymore. The only time people would bother looking at the label is if it had online play, fighting scenes (for all the good reasons), and 'fear' so that they may or may not want to buy it because of that specific factor. Otherwise, age recommendation is completely neglected nowadays.
