@clarebannerman Really? I'm surprised. I thought that Stephane Grapelli and Frankie Gavin playing together would have been a one off. both trios played half the concert, and they only came together at the end for a couple of numbers.
@CaTheYowes I think you'll find it was recorded at Celtic connections, Glasgow, mid nineties. The first half of the concert was Frankie Gavin's trio and the second half was Stephane Grapelli's trio. They played a couple of numbers together at the end. I can't see there being another occasion when Frankie Gavin would have played with Stephane Grapelli. It was a great concert. Wonderful to see both players but particularly special to see Stephane Grapelli.
@captainghey Lads if ye think Martin Hayes is better then Frankie Gavin then im very very sorry to say ye havint a clue about music and should be ashamed of urself
Oh, the days of the Kerry dancing Oh, the ring of the piper's tune Oh, for one of those hours of gladness Gone, alas, like our youth, too soon. When the boys began to gather In the glen of a summer's night And the Kerry piper's tuning Made us long with wild delight! Oh, to think of it Oh, to dream of it Fills my heart with tears!
really original and classical
