  • You should get repti bark as a substrate

  • NO CALCIUM SAND!!!! Or any sand, they will die!!!

  • lucarox123 that is no sand look a little closer that is fertilizaer now who is the dumbass

  • @VVVnetwork101 That's sand dumbass

  • what morph??

  • take out the dirt and put in repti carpet.

  • mr112coolkid.if you ever do decide to use repticarpet u may wash it in the washing machine and dry it in your dryer.you may not have a washing machine or dryer so you could wash it in the sink and let it dry.but this is just a suggestion.you may stick to the sand.but also you have to keep buying the sand.and to make it simpler most leopard geckos only empty waste at one corner of the tank.u could put a napkin in the corner and just change it as needed.but whatever u like to do is fine.

  • no sticks, use reptile carpet, paper towels, more hides

  • hey dumb ass reptile carpet has stuff inside it that can kill them u yous repti sand and ps repti sand wont kill your leos or any other desert animal and u can use sticks they love 2 climb all over them both of mine love 2 climb

  • @Mr112Coolkid Hey dude. I try to be nice and inform the maker of the video, and you call me a dumb ass! your a dumb ass! sand/calci sand gives leos impaction. check out other vids. you can use sticks as long at ther were gotten at a pet store. they may carry harmful germs. so dont call people dumb asses inless you have your facts strait. P.S. SINCE WHEN DID REPTI CARPET KILL REPTILES!!! Im a reptile expert and have never heard that it can make leos sick!

  • @Mr112Coolkid Ok you stupid kid. first of all you suck at spelling and It is SO hard to read your comments, If your going to reply then learn to spell and make sence. I have no clue what you were talking about. So reply if you choose to write the right way!

  • @icyshadow67 you spelt senSe wrong.....

  • :D I have the same hide lol

  • a hide on the opposite side would be better for her and a moist hide they like sleeping in those and also i would switch to repti carpet far safer!

  • ok great vid, but if i were ui would first, put in reptile carpet, second put another hide in there, third get a nighttime heat lamp, and lastly, dont make it a forest scene they r from the desert

  • you need two hides or more

  • add reptile carpet

  • i would take out the soil and either add a very fine round grain sand or reptile carpet but NOT sani chips my friend had his geckos on sanichips and they can barely move on it

  • calcium is bad and btw leaopard geckos dont live on the sand in the wild they live on rock

  • @j2r2b calcium is good for leopard geckos a or any gecko well for any reptile because they need there bones to grow like humans dumb ass

  • @brandonashplant ok if you were smart then you would have known that the calcium was referred to the sand you moron

  • @j2r2b well say sand next time instead of saying calcium you Fag

  • @brandonashplant oh go fuck off you scumbag git

  • @j2r2b why don't you, you fucking little shit your probably some fucking kid who does not know fucking shit about geckos so fuck off yourself you stupid retard

  • @brandonashplant oh im a little kid? how old are you? cause im sure im old enough to kick your fat ugly ass

  • @j2r2b yeh right I gave a guy at my school a bleeding nose because he punched me in the face and my tooth came out so I fucken punched him in the nose and he was bleeding like shit so just piss OFF!!!

  • @brandonashplant HA! your still in school? why am i wasting my time on a little fag like you. pft ive got better things to do than argue with a little boy who is still in school

  • @brandonashplant HA! your still in school? why am i wasting my time on a little fag like you. pft ive got better things to do than argue with a little boy who is still in school come talk to me when you gradutate.... haha if you gradutate

  • @j2r2b brandonashplant just needs to fuck off i can tell by the way he worded his paragraph that he's middle school maby6e jr. high

  • @j2r2b well If I am younger than you and I am more intelligent than you, then you must be a dumb ass LOL and Dude I almost finishing school so fuck you

  • @brandonashplant and i almost finishing school? way to make sense with that. obviously you arent intelligent because how you wrote this sentence makes you seem like a little git

  • @j2r2b look dude what do you say to this ''I am sorry?'' and I think we both really, really NEED to grow up so do you forgive me for what I have called you??

  • @brandonashplant yeah im sorry :( im just kinda bummed that my gf is going to CO. for like 2 and a half months and ive been taking it out on people ur not the only sorry bout being a douche bro

  • @j2r2b ok and sorry bout your gf, unlucky and sorry again for what I said cya!

  • you shouldnt have her on soil its got hazardous chemical that can kill your gecko

  • Btw don't use soil it will die

  • U should remove the dirt and add reptile carpet u can find it at petco.com and get a moist hide pretty much a tapoware with a moist napkin and a hole on the lid and some plants and your good other than that nice video nice leo

  • Why are you not supposed to use sand ??

  • Srry mest me from Iran (iam from there) and Pakistan and love to be on sand because I used to catch them in the wild

  • Btw leopards do not come from India a d they co

  • im tired of idiots saying "when there in the wild its all sand" thats 100% FALSE

in the part of middle east there from its 100% rocks and mountains, no sand.

  • u need to buy a calcium dish or it will die

  • dude, you dont know the first thing about keeping a leo. where is the calcium dish. WHAT kind of substrate are you using. man, itll be a miracle if it lives a month

  • @pageme101 you dont need a calcium dish if you actually properly take care of them

  • Dont use sand at all it can kill your gecko

  • did you bake the sticks before you put them in they carry alot of pestacites backe them for atleast 30 minutes ate 300 degreese to prevent sickness and death

  • Never ever use soil it can carry bacteria and she can die

  • that is sick

  • at first it sounded like you stole the gecko lmao but nice vid

  • i like when he looks out the glass and hes like what the hell leave me alone

  • use repti carpet not soil

  • I think you should call it digger.

  • can she climb on the exo terra hut without the help of the glass

  • Hey dude, I just bought one today. I put some crickets in her cage and I hear they're nocturnal so she should eat them over night. But I'm just curious, is she doesn't eat them (because she hasn't eaten one yet) could it be because she's adapting to her new home ? Also should I throw the crickets away is she doesn't eat them or should I leave them ? I'm new to this gecko thing :D

  • hey xkillerx do u have a beardie? because i want to know what size tank u need for a baby

  • beautiful gecko

  • The huts thta sdmall it even digging.

  • Has any 1 tryed sound like water or desert sounds to try to calm them i think i should

  • It has never heard them sounds, how do you figure it would calm it?..

    Try peace and quite.

  • perhapse some kind of calcium sand will be better than soil. soil could get too moist. They dont need sticks they arn't a jungle anmal, so some rocks will be better.

  • if i where you i would take out all of the sticks and leaves they dont need that add more rocks to it that better for leopard geckos

  • you dont have to get a red light

  • u need a calci dish for their d3 supplements

  • you need to get a heat bulb and a dif substrate it looks like potting soil

  • what size tank is good for three or more leopard geckos?

  • a 20 long is a good for 3 leos but i use 20 long for 2 of mine, if you breed ur leos you can use like one of those clear box things and keep 3 in one of those

  • your supposed to get a red light

  • i have two leopard geckos one is fine ,alert has a fat tail .on the other hand the the other leopard gecko i have is very skinney and tail is very skinney and never eats or comes out of her cave.they were both born on the same day and the fat tailed one is double the size of the other one.what should i do ?

  • u need a new substrate use pape3r towilles or reptile carpet

  • i would add a humidihide, it helps with shedding their skin

  • WRONG substrate

  • You could add some plants in there, it would look better :)

  • one more thing: Geckos dont climb because they live in the desert so the trees arent need but they could be decorations.

  • My gecko hasn't had any warmth for about three years cuz we lost our old one and so we need a new one but she is fine.

  • so the calcium sand int good for them? what should i use then? and how do i tell how old my leo is?

  • ok the best substrate is carpet or bark. i like bark because it makes my tank look tropical.

  • what should i use to heat my tank???hes in my room and i dont want a light on at night??

  • get a heat mat

  • cool, luks like a lovely Gecko, really!!

  • you got to clean your tank at least every four weeks

  • ok so can i use a heat matt for the hot side and a lamp on the other just to keep the air tempature at room tempature and at night use a colored light bulb?

  • NO!!! the heat sources should be all on one side. and i wouldn't bother too much about the air temperature, since they are nocturnal and live in the desert. in desert areas the air temperature gets pretty low during the night but the rocks remain warm (me and my friends used to do this at the mountain during winter lol, playing guitar on cliffs), and that heat pad should work perfectly, as their belly needs heat for digestion

  • dont use calci sand! they still can get impacted juss use papaer towel or reptile carpet

  • nice nice nice

  • You have to change it atleast once a month. =3

  • you need to use a solid substrate or aspen

  • aspen isent the greatest thing for leopard geckos

  • what substrate r you using?

  • where do you get leapord geckos?

  • you can pretty much get them at any pet store, but i would not recomend getting them from petsmart or petco as they are not properly cared for but if you go to a local reptile expo or a breeder you should be fine.

  • unless its a new shipment of leopard geckos......

  • how can i find a reptile expo?

  • the same place you get ur shoes.lol

    a petstore duh!

  • i think it is lovely that u brought her in and i think u coud give her a moreof a green habit that and it is wonderfol i luv it :D

  • beautiful high yellow

  • that gecko looks very healthy. its got clear eyes, a fully sealed mouth and a nice thick tail

  • ur tanks abit dirty and he water was not good ur new vid better be better

  • get rid of dirt and use paper towel

  • m8 ur tank is abit dirty

  • nice tank you go and gecko

  • paper towels is the way to go sand MAY cause impaction but is hard to say cause of the mixed sugestions

  • u should change yoor substarte 1 every 6 months and dont listen to people going on about calcium sand its been fine with mine and when there wild they live on sand so all thats a load of rubbish :)

  • i hope you watch my new video and sadly i sold leona 3 weeks ago

  • why

  • @xkillerx actually they dont live on sand in the wild, they live in rocky areas and calcium sand is worse cause then they eat to get need calcium and get impacted

  • @xkillerx dont ever put them on calcium, mine died.

its not natural either, there natural= habitat it more rocky.

  • well they live on textier like tile but calicum sand is ok

  • check out my other video

  • @xxxtmoneyxxx8 no calcium sand isnt. silica free play sand is ok

  • @aimeeandkarlforever so u think the experts are wrong

  • @aimeeandkarlforever no actually they dont live on sand why dont you do some research..i hate it when people get reptiles and don no how to d research and fucking look things up

  • @leolover619 he doesn't have to worry about that it is probably dead by now judging by its encloser

  • @aimeeandkarlforever You need to die

  • @aimeeandkarlforever actually they dont. They live on impacted mud, that dries hard in the sun.

  • @aimeeandkarlforever they live on a clay like ground no sand because the sand in their natural habitat gets up to 70 C... calcium sand is the worst and NOTHING like what they come across in the wild

  • @aimeeandkarlforever no,in the wild they live on real sand..tht is in circle shapes..the sand u buy at stores is fake and if u magnified it it wud look like sharp edge triangles, thats y they cant diegest it and it causes impaction

  • @treywillett96 they dont live on sand stupid ass they live on rocks

  • @aimeeandkarlforever they do not live on sand in the wild. there natural habitats in pakistan and india are dry, arid, clay and mud lands. everything you said is a load of rubish. you obviousley know nothing about leopard geckos.

  • @aimeeandkarlforever they dont live on sand actually, they live on compact earth just becasue there are dessert animals dosent mean they live on sand most deserts arnt sandy !!

  • @aimeeandkarlforever They dont live on sand they live on rocky/clay parts of araq, ahganistan

  • @aimeeandkarlforever

yes!!! finally someone who actually see's that there is no harm using a geckos natrual habitat as a floor!!!

  • name it gabrielle

  • Do i see this correctly, you have a leopard gecko on mud?, which is full of fertilizer pellets? or is that floor so covered in poo it only looks like that? tho mud may help you with keeping humidity the animal is a sand dwelling. they are also not a very good climbers, i would suggest getting more places for it to hide in. as well as a few basking stones, and very rough edged stone it can use when shedding. My gecko is 7 years old, and is very healthy.

  • please watch my new video on it then tell me how to set it up thanks

  • @xkillerx Why would it need basking stones, ITS NOCTURNAL!

  • @gout69 rock dwelling not sand dwelling. you fucking idiots should not have leopard geckos

  • @comanderkuddles No afence but gout69 had a leapard gecko for 7 year and it was still healthy. So you cant really say shouldnt have a leapard gecko

  • @666thegothicgirl i can say anything about sand that i want, i was right in that comment, and every leopard gecko is different, his was on sand for 7 years, and was healthy, mine was on sand for a month and almost died, every leo is different, i stated that they are from rocks not sand, and that was a true statement, gout might know how to take care of them, but has absolutely no fucking idea about what kind of environment they come from, dont listen to him, do research.

  • @comanderkuddles ok thanks,

I didn't mean to sound rude the first time if i did sorry

    Thanks,

    Mel

  • @gout69 Ok so you've had your gecko for a long time so i thing i'm safe... I might be getting a leapard gecko soon so if i could have some tips that would be awsome.

    thanks,

    mel

  • Very healthy Leo. Good Job!

  • was it it night time at yo place if so you do not keep the light on at night

  • oh no this was when i first got her settled down i know shes nocturnal but it was so i can make a video so yeah

  • how bout franchesca

  • it's very cute, i have a fishtank (getting turtles) I'd love a gecko or something, but my parents won't let me :(

I think its a healthy gecko XD active and all that.

Its great that you take in so much knolegde from other people by the way XD

  • thanks i have more videos that will be uploaded some time today or tomorrow cause im not going to be on for the next 9days starting saturday cause im leaving to the states

  • cool. Have fun in america.

    XD

    I'm from the UK XD

  • hey, u doin great still i would recomend no loose substraight (flooring) is that mud your useing?

anyway nice job. its cute call it Loki. lol

  • lol i have a nice looking setup now ill make a video of it soon, how about subscribing =D

  • k not bing ean but leos live in the freakin desert

  • i know that but i got all this for free i didnt change anything all i did was add a plant on the cold side and a dish of calcium now i use newspapers as my substrate

  • make sure you have a heat mat ; or heat lamp . i think the bulb you showed is a uvb ; which you dont need for leopard geckos. and you need a hide on both sides of the tank one on the warm side and one on the cooler side ; a shed box or humidified shelter and a calcium dish . good luck . oh and w/ the heat lamp dont get any higher than like a 50 watt bulb . try not to feed or bother her during the day b/c shes nocturnal . good luck . =]

  • oh now i use a red 100w heat bulb i added a humid hide of the cold side i had a calcium dish but she uses it as a litter box so i took it out i have a few crickets in the tank that she can chase or eat when shes hungry ill make a video of the new setup and remember to SUBSCRIBE thanks =D

  • Congratz she looks really healthy!~ the things you'll need when you re-do the cage will be a small dish of calcium which she'll lick when she feels like she needs to... also a humid hide which you can make out a of a cool-whip container with a hole cut on top and moss or wet napkins inside. this aids in shedding...good luck

  • is the calcium realy needed cause shes 3 years old, oh okay ill make a shedding box hey do i need to mist the leaves in the tank and the cold side also do i need to make sure the napkin is moist ?

  • yeah you still need it but the good thing is it's really easy since you can just use something small like an up-turned bottle cap with calcium in it. no you don't need to mist as long as you have a humid hide. you can mist when she's in shed though just for a little extra humidity to help her shed. what napkin? is it where she goes to the bathroom? if so then no you dont have to mist it... nice leo good luck w/ her

  • okay i have added calcium and i used newspaper as my substrate and i put toilet paper on the corner she poos i still dont have a humid hide yet

  • shes so awesome man D:

kevin why did you bother her huh? stop being so perverted

  • what are you talking about ?

  • Great video i think its cute hows the turtles?? nice name leona i like it

  • thanks, the turtles doing excellent =D

  • thats good mine too whats in that small plastic tank with the hey and carboard stuff?

  • the thing in the small tank is its food they are crickes and the cardboard blocking the tank makes the gecko feel safer i will get a background tmro but i know that if its all glass all 4 sides it will feel very unsecure and if i block a few sides it will feel safer so yeah i will move to a differnet place soon but not too soon so it wont be as stressed =)
