I think so, too .. you don't need the bad guy in person. Or the plot with an antagonist. There was this scene in the woods, which terrified me 10000 more times than a horror movie, just really really scaring.

This is the point of an indie film, To enstablished yourself as a visionairy and make your key eyes of idea and film be heard, i can tell you right now, Wendy and Lucy will be the directors biggest achievement, This movie has to be indie, any bigger and this would be a waste of money to make. A short story expanded shortfilm. The story never made itself live up what it should of been. A emotional impact story. NO ONE DIED, SHE DIDN'T SACRIFICE ANYTHING, SHE DIDN'T CHANGE AS SHE PROGRESSED.

@Nextdirector123 Okay "NextDirector". Sorry to criticize your choice of name but you really need to grow up and stop looking for good guys and bad guys in films. Some films are about real life. If you're stuck looking for binary right vs wrong plots then you're living in complete fantasy not only aesthetically but probably in your life as well. If you don't want to be challenged by film maybe you should stick to The Expendables or Bond films or some piece of crap.

@Nextdirector123 Ever thought about that the bad guy, the antagonist, can also be something without a body? So, the bad guy can be also be a feeling or a disease for example. Allow yourself a broader horizont.

@alljsh4787 If you have the attention span of a 9 year old than yes you will find it boring. You have to like small indie films like this with a lot of heart. Any real fan of cinema loved this movie which is why it got such great reviews from critics and people in the film industry. You should stick to more low brow stuff like trasformers.

@JMX2332 The trailer is not the movie. If you watched the actual movie, you would find out "why she is wasting time to go to Alaska" and the dog is doing in the movie". It is actually a very good movie.
