Of course the song Sen Shon sang is about planting a tree, for everyone , everything, as was in the lyric. The video is showing a good kid, perhaps a 班長 trying to straighten out these bad kids. He tried to plant good seeds for these kids, but with no success. At the end, he had to sacrifice his life to get a bad kid became good(he was wearing glasses, which means he is studying hard.) My best interpretation.

Thank you! I just saw your reply. It is a beautiful song. I saw a Chinese graduate student perform a dance to this song at the Univ. of Illinois except it was sung by a female artist. I wish I knew what the song was about.

Excuese me...are you sure that "Chinese"graduate student is from china....because the singer is from Taiwan:D.This song is about some younger whom back to their hometown(in Mei-Nong,Kaohsiung,Taiwan) , and try to connect other farmer to find the story of this rural village and try to find the value of human.

Chinese student can come from Taiwan, too. Sen Shon(hakga dialect) is conveying that the tree is plant for every person, and living organism....

For people thinking about home, that can not come home.... For people at home , that do not want to be at home.... For bugs to escape from prey... For birds to call home.... For water to rest, before going to the river.....
