@ViceroyoftheCorner no no it broke away from Somalia, Somalia in 100-500 years time will break away from mainland Africa just like Socotra, Socotra is way way closer to Somalia than Yemen

@HerroHerrar I kno its closer to somalia but it was part of the arabian plate before it became an island. and btw the inhabitants have about 70% frequency of haplogroup J1, found in Yemen at about 80% and in somalia at only about 10%
