absolute fucking cracker... this song is definitely the best song i've ever had the pleasure of listening to. hearing it live is beyond words, but i am so fucking happy i can hear it this way.
thank you guys, you really give me something i hold dear whenever i hear this song... :)
Brilliant! His voice was better than ever! At Faraway Stables, in the recording of the DVD, he almost die to sing Tuna in The Brine; it´s evolution, babe!
I have just updated my knowledge about silverchair. I haven't heard and haven't been keeping up with the latest happenings around them for about 6-8 years but I must conclude that Dani has become a mature performer with a wonderful voice and genius performing abilities.
that video proved me at last, that daniel has't lost his voice completely. he still has some problems, but they are not that big as i thought (other pieces from young modern lounch sound lot worse :(). and i saw HIM at last (yeah, he's still the sam good old dan).
man, i love ben with his mouth wide open like 3yearold ;)
I fucking love these guys hands down.. Youngmodern is alot more up beat deff sounds like a variation spin off diormama but i really love diorama. I feel with the new album i dont get the depth of daniel that i love so much
Diorama is one of the most valiant and creative albums I've ever heard. It takes a lot of courage these days to do something no one else is doing, or that no one else has done.
*Paul Mac's keys are brilliant on this version, I should add
if beethoven wrote rock songs, i think it would sound similar to this. AND you're right, this performace was beyond amazing. way better than the diorama DVD if you've heard that one. hopefully, i will see silverchair and muse in the same day @ lollapalooza in chicago...$80. along with regina spektor (who is amazing too) and many other bands.
Must say, one of the biggest things adore in Silverchair's music is the fact that they can create such amazing alternate live versions of each of their songs. We saw it most notiably with Emotion Sickness (see the 10 minute versions in 2003, simply amazing) and now again here.
this is just astounding. this entire show is far and away the best they've ever sounded. but this rendition of tuna in the brine is just orgasmic. my one wish in life is to be able to write a song this perfect.
honestly...not bad. not really amazing...but there were some very cool moments. love the outro. lots of silverchair-ish unconventional chord progressions there. :)
you have lennon, harrison, wilson, mcartney, eno, bowie, reed, and johns! No one today quite resembles any signs of greatness...besides Johns. WHAT VISION!

Aye, Young Modern is brilliant. I kinda feel like it's a
release from the intensity of Diorama sometimes. Young Modern being more playful and whimsy.

Hey buddy! I write songs as a past-time... I'm no professional musician nor singer.
Silverchair are my greatest inspiration and I've written a song about them called "Silver" (based on tuna in the brine). Check it out!
