  • I Love Daniel...

  • besides writing good songs, he's witty too! Why is he so self-conscious, he should be having mad fun with his career, poor guy.

  • to those of you who think silverchair still doesnt rock suck the back end of a frog

  • I have just updated my knowledge about silverchair. I haven't heard and haven't been keeping up with the latest happenings around them for about 6-8 years but I must conclude that Dani has become a mature performer with a wonderful voice and genius performing abilities.

    Keep on keeping on!

  • that great group!!!!! the interpretation is so powerful and brilliant... like always... Daniel, Ben & Chris are ... no words!!!!!

and I love this song... "Don't lose you're heart, you'll need it"... clever

  • any chance i could get the video of this show from you?

  • This performance is spot on!! Absolutely perfect. I love when Daniel sings it live...so much power and emotion. LOVE it!

  • Diorama is an album out of this world! just perfect...

  • <333333333333333

  • painting a lie, seing the colours but you seem closer to everything..

that part of the song gets me every time..LOVE IT!

  • totaly agree with you that part just completes the song !! and here its performed absolutetly beautifully!<3

  • emotion sickness, TUNA IN THE BRINE, thieving birds/strange behaviour... three great epics from the 'chair.

  • This is exactly what I think. I especially like the beginning of thieving birds, it is so calm and beautiful.

  • Close to perfection!!!!!!!!!! WOnderful really love his music!!!!!!!!!!

  • come on mac, cut that mullet.

  • this is one of the best songs from diorama.

  • his voice changed a lot after he started smokin'!

but he still is fuckin' great!

  • why young modern is so bad ): !!?

this songs is one of my favourites *o*

  • Well, this song isn't from young modern! It's from Diorama:)

  • Have you listened to it several times? I didn't like the album when I first heard it but I'm getting into it now that I've heard it a few times.

I like Young Modern but my fave album is definitely Diorama!!

  • lol friendly relationships with fish

  • My favorite 'Chair song! And they pulled it off so well!

  • Takes away all my pain. Thank You for posting, thank you Silverchair.

  • that video proved me at last, that daniel has't lost his voice completely. he still has some problems, but they are not that big as i thought (other pieces from young modern lounch sound lot worse :(). and i saw HIM at last (yeah, he's still the sam good old dan).

man, i love ben with his mouth wide open like 3yearold ;)

  • Always changing!!! Gotta love these guys!!!

BTW, saw this live in Nottingham 2 days ago, was fucking moving stuff!!! Hes such a brilliant musician!!! I love you Daniel!!!

    :D

  • I fucking love these guys hands down.. Youngmodern is alot more up beat deff sounds like a variation spin off diormama but i really love diorama. I feel with the new album i dont get the depth of daniel that i love so much

  • Aye, Young Modern is brilliant. I kinda feel like it's a

release from the intensity of Diorama sometimes. Young Modern being more playful and whimsy.

  • Diorama is one of the most valiant and creative albums I've ever heard. It takes a lot of courage these days to do something no one else is doing, or that no one else has done.

*Paul Mac's keys are brilliant on this version, I should add

  • I agree with you on Diorama, and I think Young Modern is just as good!

  • actually its in violin tuning fcgdgd (low to high) try it, it sounds amazing

  • i think its in normal eadgbe tuning but in 3/4 time.

  • thanks i thought so

  • Solid and Epic- One of the best by silverchair, what tuning is this song in?

  • This song is gennious...... Sooooo strong....

Don´t have words to describe it....

  • GORGEOUS song. Love it.

  • god...this song is almost too perfect. this is the best live version i've heard yet. they nailed this entire YM launch.

  • if beethoven wrote rock songs, i think it would sound similar to this. AND you're right, this performace was beyond amazing. way better than the diorama DVD if you've heard that one. hopefully, i will see silverchair and muse in the same day @ lollapalooza in chicago...$80. along with regina spektor (who is amazing too) and many other bands.

  • I'll be at Lolla too! :)

  • Must say, one of the biggest things adore in Silverchair's music is the fact that they can create such amazing alternate live versions of each of their songs. We saw it most notiably with Emotion Sickness (see the 10 minute versions in 2003, simply amazing) and now again here.

  • Sorry to break the 'Favorited: 69 times' lol, but I need to favorite this :P 70!

  • I know this is my favorite Silverchair song, it can't get any more perfect in my opinion.

  • I don't know if I like Daniel's reduced amount of vibrato or his new tone. But incredible nonetheless.

  • ....amazing

  • seriously. best song ever contender. i love it.

  • this is just astounding. this entire show is far and away the best they've ever sounded. but this rendition of tuna in the brine is just orgasmic. my one wish in life is to be able to write a song this perfect.

  • Hey buddy! I write songs as a past-time... I'm no professional musician nor singer.

Silverchair are my greatest inspiration and I've written a song about them called "Silver" (based on tuna in the brine). Check it out!

    Myspace = search "Denis Lynch"

  • i listened to "silver"

honestly...not bad. not really amazing...but there were some very cool moments. love the outro. lots of silverchair-ish unconventional chord progressions there. :)

  • Thanks man!! I do this for fun. Wish I'd started playing music when I was a little kid though!

I'm going to see Silverchair for the first time on July 30th here in Montreal... Man, I can't wait anymore!!

  • singing better now

  • I'm enjoying the fruits of their labour :)

  • get bent - this song is awesome.

  • I didn't like Paul Mac's keyboards on this classic... but Daniel's voice is stronger than ever!!!

  • AMAZING :)

  • Reminds of everything good.

  • WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW! Truly epic!

you have lennon, harrison, wilson, mcartney, eno, bowie, reed, and johns! No one today quite resembles any signs of greatness...besides Johns. WHAT VISION!

  • fuckingmente true

  • 10 out of 10 !

  • Best silverchair song ever and almost the best song ever!

  • Just a Master Piece, Beautiful!

  • Awesome! One of my favorite songs from Silverchair, and he didn't muff it at all, great performance!

  • Foda! Fantastic!

  • This is how Daniel got his groove back.

  • dioramaaa :)

  • Yay!

  • One word. Beautiful.
