@hamtarogirl10 He's a terrible person. Don't expect an apology anytime soon. He's rude to ppl online when he's gaming too. If it means anything, I'm sorry.
I grin every time I watch it, because it's our work being put on screen. I love all the choices of angles you and Parker decided on.
Though on a credit's stand point. I couldn't help but wonder if I could have been credited for Cheif Photographer, having help shoot like 80 % of the film.
mmm...?
Oh, well, were getting off to a promising start, crediting people can come later as we progress. I hope we can go further with this.
but the fightscene looked like a jacky chan movie (with that tree you were holding) but you were fighting too slow...
when you guy's fought it looked like the hits didn't affect you in total. you just jumped away. i hope your next movie will be more realistic in fighting i'll give it 4/5 because i like own made movies because people give it a try to make one and upload it on youtube.
not a bad effort, and the effort is what counts. the music was great. definately find a martial arts school, knowing how to move in a combat siutation with weapons or not isn't something that can be copied without some form of training. speed of movement is something to take into consideration, not many people move slow in a fight or focus much about anything other than the opponent. one of the hardest things to do is make a fight look beleiveable in it's flow of moves. good luck for later.
the coreography is good but you need to be more realistic when performing it -> try to hit him like it was a real fight. Put some sound effects for punch impacts (Defense and Hitting)(Something like they put on matrix fight scenes), and try to find better camera spots
To be honest the idea and the camera work are pretty good, I think for the choreography you need to time them a little bit more but the whole complex it's good. Keep up the good work. Take care.
Great video, highly enjoyable and entertaining which is what a YouTube video will be. However, if I'm honest it is quite clear that its your first video and despite some of the camera work being superb and there is an excellent use of both music and visuals, the story is lacking and the acting is sometimes hard to take seriously. But the fight scene makes up for the slow opening and with better planning, better costumes, better cinematography (despite being 6/10), your next vid will be awesome!
hi, the plot is very cool and entertaining. but you have to add more camera angels and faster cuts in some scenes. the fight scenes are not so good, so you better train for them or create a cheography. start training with martial arts basics.
Thanks for the comment! I'll see what I can do about finding a local martial arts facility.
Since Eckhardt is knocked unconscious at the end, the next installment actually includes a gunfight. If I try to explain the storyline here I will run out of space! I was curious about the sound effects you used in Duel on the Fields. I may be using a Beretta hand gun to be specific. If you can help me I would greatly Appreciate it.
You did a good job on editing and directing this short film. It was well put together interesting POV's, inserts and fight choreography, the sound and music was great. Over all very well done.
Thank you for taking the time to comment! I got some feed back saying that the story is a bit weird or difficult to comprehend. Then again, more will be unraveled in part 2 when it is released this December. I may even use the time now to make a mini-series within the two parts while Eckhardt (me) is unconscious. I hope things do work out as planned. Thanks again!
Yeah well, had to get the story out of the way somehow. Basically I fought him before, this time I hoped to get revenge, there may be some loose ends, but it does say to be continued. maybe the story is too complex to begin with, but all will be explained soon enough.
Thank you! I do see some parts before the fight scene that feel awkward watching.
For when Alucard (name needs changing but I feel its too late...) throws his sword into the ground, he does in fact take too long to throw the branch. Regrettably, All the fighting was rushed in in one evening. You can even spot a bright blue lunch box when I lose my sword. The main concept was put off due to lack of a camera man among other things... Anyway thanks and let some friends know about this video!
The camera angles are superb, but it is the acting that slightly lets you down. I read that it was ages ago and that you were "Quite horrible" at acting, so this may be forgiven :D
The storyline is a little strange and not solid or clear enough to understand easily. Also the echoing voice gets a tad annoying and is used too much.
The choreography is quite good, however when the "Assassin" drops his sword to pick up the branch, it makes me wonder why he dropped the sword.
