  • Beautiful, absolutely well done!!

  • so many people were ready to help this creature it could have lived National Parks & Wild life threatend to fine persons doing so they argue 4 7 days watching it die a slow death.the part the most insensed me was the Aboriginal Whale caller with his mystical powers coaxed 2 the boat holding out the hand of help eventuly touching it they thought it's to far gone we must kill it 4 it's own good the lesson learned Man of all colours & creed if we can't save a Baby whale how can we save this earth

  • WE had a similar story in Canada. It is truly sad. Thanks for sharing.

    Peace.

  • Humpback whales are one of my faves. No words describe how bad I feel. Let this be a strong lesson in research as to why babies are abandoned and better care in saving the baby.

  • Oh thats awfully sad.

The music with it was suitable.

  • ...so sad, though I don't understand everything, and good music; thanks!

  • good work

  • thats nature for ya :\

  • How incredibly sad and heartwrenching. This calf looks for its mother, and all we could do was put this poor creature out of its misery.

"Without each other's help, there is no hope for us."

    No truer words spoken.

  • CD, it's just so sad to see the poor baby nuzzling up against the boats looking for her mother. So incredibly sad.

They were afraid she might have an allergic/anaphylactic reaction if they fed her and that it might kill her - so their solution is to just kill her anyway.

    How's that for logic? Duh

  • Ridiculously asinine, indeed! What is shameful is that they would not even let the Sea Shepherd try despite the fact that there was a formula available.

It is all just so terribly heartbreaking. I could not stand to watch the helpless creature, either.

  • I feel so sad for this whale, I couldn't read or view any images when she was put down.

Instead of "rescue" on the girls BACKSIDE, it should read MURDERER.

Well us Aussie should all clap hands, wow, we did a great job of whale conservation....

  • dober: I agree, where was Sea World? Where are all these touted conservation societies when this baby needed them most???? This infant could have been saved instead of killed. Shows how undecided Australia really is on whaling.

  • Well fishmarc, politicians are just that. They toe the party line for their own careers/self interests. It's not really about representing the people. In the poles, a great majority of Australians wanted to save this baby whale. :(

The government can be anti whaling (it doesn't cost them anything to say that) yet feeding and caring for a baby whale would cost them. Far cheaper to put her down.

  • Dober: You are so right. ESpecially about putting MURDERER ON THEIR BACKS. This whale could easily have been saved. Bring the yacht into an enclosure and contact seaworld to get the formula to save her. It's absolutely sickening.

  • It is fishmarc, it really is. I never cease to find these things distressing and sad. It so often somes down to money and power.
