But the soldiers who are enlisted don't want to be there any more than the civilians who live there don't want to them to be, so MOST of the U.S. soldiers there actually are friendly towards the people. How do I know this? Well, because every one of my soldier friends comes back with dozens of videos detailing their friendships made.

@Spartansoldier217 Yeah, 9/11 was no reason to root out the Taliban and al Qaeda in Afghanistan, and the attempted annexation of Kuwait and genocide of the Kurds via chemical weapons was of course no real provocation; the Gulf War and the current war in Iraq are one in the same conflict. In addition you have no room to say that we soldiers don't want to be in Iraq; for my brethren the Peshmerga, for a free Kurdistan, for the right of free peoples to self determination, we fight.

And while Iraq was/is a troubled place, they didn't want or ask for our help and nuclear weapons was just a quick excuse to get involved.

Most soldiers I've met don't want to be there/hated being there.

We already knew Saddam had nuclear capabilities, and chemical weapons, and intel (everything from British Intelligence, Mossad, and CIA) believed that he did indeed have nuclear weapons (which are likely in Syria now). A soldier's life is different for SFG boys, but even many enlisted grunts believe in their cause.

@Spartansoldier217 Where are you getting your information? Christianity has approximately 2 billion followers, Islam around 1.5 billion. Judging from your comments I can assume you haven't read the Qur'an in full, and definitely have not taken a glimpse at the Hadith. The crusades didn't begin until the 11th century, the text of the Qur'an predates the crusades, as it was compiled and standardized in the 7th century. The lesser jihad calls for violence against non-subservient, non-believers.

And I can assume that you haven't read the whole Qu'ran or taken a look at how Christianity and Catholicism promotes just as much violence as you accuse the Q'ran of promoting. In the Bible, there is relatively small amounts of text saying that one should kill for stupid reasons, but the pope and hotheaded Christians apparently don't interpret it that way.

@Spartansoldier217 No it hasn't, check your sources (assuming you have any), everything from Nation Master to wikipedia has adherents of Christianity listed as 2 billion or more, Islam; 1.3-1.5 billion. It is because I have read the entire Qur'an, and a significant part of Hadith that I know Islam cannot be marginalized for comparison with Christianity. Nowhere are Christians called to kill anybody in the Bible, in fact, there are not even passages advocating self defense in the New Testament.
