    Siggi B. Goode!!!!

You are fantastic Siggi! You can play the guitar just like ringing a bell! :)

  • Thank you Siggi. I'm new to your lessons...do you have a corresponding teaching business? Are you interested in request? Such as "Used Up" by Bill Withers? Many thanks.

  • Siggi, that is sooooo good. I am learning. I like how you break down the riff slowly. You are a great teacher and your videos are so appreciated.Thank you so very much

    Greetings from Willem (Netherlands)

  • wow nice sweep picking !

  • nice tab man i understood it all without rewinding the vids once and got it all

  • che suena feo, le falta onda Siggi

  • Hi Siggi. At 48 yrs old, I now know why I waited until the internet came along before i started to learn how to play. This is absolutely fabulous. I'm a bit slow and my fingers are retarded but I think with videos like yours, I will eventually get it. Thank you so, so much.

  • Siggi, great video man, but I have some questions, hope you can help me.

    (Will be very cool).

First of all, you start with an intro, its explained at the end of the video, but not the whole thing you played, so I want to ask, Is it improvised?

Im learning to improvise, and the only thing that I use for that is the minor Pentatonic scale. Wich other things are necessary to improvise in a song like this? (WIch ones do YOU use?)

    Thanks a lot

  • In a way the introduction is improvised and in a way it is not because I use licks that I#ve been using a lot. I´m not a great scale improviser. I use licks like I use words to form a sentence. Siggi

  • Ohh I see, thanks a lot.

I dont want to bother you, but it is possilble that you pass me a little tab of that scale that you play at 00.09??

    Thanks ! ! !

  • how about the other licks?

  • Respond to this video...

  • whats up. seems as though your my rival on youtube. hahah tthis is cool, check out my prs mccatyr shred sometime, you have a 24 i believe? what years it?

  • it is Johnny B. Goode, but in the key of A which is a much, easier key. The original is in key of B flat, making the I IV V progression Bflat, Eflat, F. Also Siggi's transcription isn't note for note, so it may seem a bit different

  • Comment removed

  • are you a retard or a numbskull?

  • i mean in the intro*

  • hey,

i recon the main riff sounds better

with 12 bars in the key of b i think it is

    anyway, good job man

  • Can you teach horslips - sord of light lead?

  • odlična stvar

  • Siggi , For the record and I know your not claiming this to be note for note

    Chuck Berry NEVER plays 12 bars as I IV I V IV I progressions they are all I IV I V I

    So you would go A D A E A not A D A E D A

  • I like your guitar playing style, nice jam & lesson. Thanks for reading this.

  • ok man.. thats cool too. Nice guitar/keep jamin.

  • Hi pal, just watched your video, and I liked a lot. I only have one question, at 0:11 you play something as a bending (probably Im wrong), I hear the same note but one octave higher (or something like that). What did you do there? Is that a harmonic?? I m learning to play the guitar and that sounds very cool for me, can you teach me how to do it??

    Well amigo, thanks a lot!!!!

  • Yes, that´a harmonic note produced with the help of my thumb. Siggi

  • Thanks a lot for your quick reply. I will try to learn how to do it.

  • Nice guitar... but those arnt the right chords, only in theory. Are you high Siggi?

  • It´s my version, hattrick. I don´t take drugs.

  • I like your version

  • Great!! I can not !!

  • genial, du hasts einfach drauf, geil

  • your the name my freind. i'm learning so much from you. thanks.

  • ehm what? -_-

  • nice PRS

  • Oh boy! Can you post a slowed down version of that incredible run at 00:09-00:10 and 00:15?

I *need* to be able to play that!

  • Hi chipswebfish,

it´s simply the sweep picking of a D maj chord. On my DVD I explain arpeggios exactly the way I do it here, if that is of any help. Siggi

  • Many thanks! Just found your web site - it's awesome!!!!!!

  • Great sweep picking Siggy. Totally unexpected. GREAT!

  • nice work mate helped me a lot thank you

  • ok duffy may have got 9,000,000 hits but this will get 10,000,000,000 by the end of next week kep playing man

  • Yo dude i've looked at all ur vids and this and greenday are by far the best and btw nice guitar!!

  • your the man siggi, pure awesomeness

  • Haven´t I deserved her, Rabit231

  • PRS? u lucky bastard lol

  • Does anyone know how to make playbacks like Siggi uses? Is this just something like a Casio electronic keyboard, or does Siggi create each playback? What kind of device does he use? Thanks.

  • I use Logic audio and the drums are created with the help of the groove agent, truth.

  • althoug the original version of the song is in B-flat, this one is great. that's the best thing about siggi: he does what he wants in the songs and they still awesome! thanks again siggi.

  • I agree. Siggi shows how to be creative, but still stay true to the song. He is such a great teacher. It's great to know how to play variations on a song.

  • What kind of guitar is that?

  • The guitar: Paul reed Smith

  • hi siggi im a biggest fan of yours...could you teach me the solo of dry ice by greenday..thanks pls pload more guitar tricks

  • To be true to Chuck, I believe he plays it in B-flat. Your version is great, Siggi, and your instruction superb as usual.

  • GO SIGGI GO GO OH SIGGI BE GOODE LOL ;)

  • Thanks. Siggi

  • go go, go siggy go go

  • chuckeberry is rolling in his grave lol lol hahahaha..

  • siggi you are amazing...

  • Dude. Chuck Berry is still alive.

  • Indeed Siggi like kaszmir88 says, if you have a screen in screenwindow with zoom of the fretboard that would add extra help/value to the lesson.

  • your vids are very good...but it would be much easier to learn if you zoomed bit more at the fingerboard

  • would you like it to be more professional, with extra cameras?

  • actually siggi i would

  • Great stuff, please give us more of this Chuck Berry/Keith Richards stuff. I've had hours of fun after learning this. Thanks for taking the time we do appreciate you. Best Wishes - Jon

  • Nice one siggy...More of this !

    Siggy B. Goode !

  • Nice impro in the beginning Siggi!

  • Hallo, ich bin durch Deine Lessons nach langer Pause (ca.30 Jahre) wieder heiss geworden. Das war eine wunderbare Idee diese leicht vertständlichen Lessons zu posten.

    Danke,

    Walter (60 Jahre alt).

  • i think its great u have mixed the beginner and advanced, coz as im learning it helps to see where to progress to, also when i feel confident on the easy part and can keep in check the basic's whilst learning the more advanced stuff! YOU ROCK!!!

  • Siggi, Enjoyed your video as always. My suggestion is to keep the beginner lessons separate from the advanced. Dont try to mix the two together. Of course I know you do both. Anyway whats up with the Ketzel?

  • Hi somegirls. I think you are right in your statement. I´ve done this vid for a German TV station because they wanted to produce a report about my you tube activities. They were here this morning and their aim was to film a pupil from my schoolwhile he´s learning from this vid. So once again I realized whenever you want it to be perfect you don´t get what you want.

  • I was thinking exactly the same thing!! That way we could not "waist" precious seconds of your time showing us an A chord for example. You could put Beginner or Intermediate in the title... only my 2 cents. What ever you do I'll enjoy it. Thanks for your time Siggi

  • very cool

  • Nice to hear from you , roger. siggi.

  • siggi be Goody!

  • woah. awesome playing siggi. great song

  • excelent lesson, that's rock & roll. thank you!!!

  • Glad you showed the intermediate part, cant get any better with only the beginner level,

Can you do it again at an expert level,I'm the type of player that learns faster if I can see a tune played rather than read tabs.

    THANKS Siggi

  • EXELENTE VIEJO

  • Thanks siggi, missed your lessons!

  • go siggi go
