I say this because you're intelligent, well spoken, beautiful, and have a strong computer/gaming geek side. The combination is hard to find these days, so you would definitely stand out.

Hi Ash,

I'm not sure what your career aspirations are, but from the few videos I've watched, I would highly recommend getting into television for geeky type things like a computer TV show host, or a reporter for big gaming events, etc.

Oh yes, FANEXPO! My friend gets to go during is visit to Toronto while I'm stuck at Vancouver. Oh well, next year to Seattle for PAX. I would love to get signatures from the voice actors.

I think it's nuts that they charge so much for autographs. I get charging but come on. I got Lloyd Kaufmans autograph at A Horror Hound convention and that's about it. They had a lot of the cast of the lost boys and Corey Haim was there but I didn't get his autograph. I was in line to get an autograph from jay from clerks and my friend tripped which was funny but jay called him a tool when he just gave money to him to get an autograph and I thought that was really rude. I just left after that.

@7Milk7Shake7 I don't think there's an age restriction. Dress up if you want, many people do. If you want more info, I'd just google it and go to the hobby star site. Make sure to look for the fan expo info at the end of the summer because they have other expos during the year.

I was at the expo this year and it sucked ass. There were only 5 demos of upcoming games. Nintendo and microsoft pretty came there to say go fuck yourselves to all the fans. It was honestly the worst convention I have ever been to.

its not a bad CON but it was way to crammed and over stuffed this year. they were not prepped to have that many people. thats why it sucked but i heard about this con called CONBRAVO. you should check it out

Great commentary on the convention. James Kyson Lee was pretty cool. He gave me a free photo when I got his autograph, though he didn't autograph that photo.

it came packaged with the death note. I figure that all of the vendors have stores somewhere. You could probably find one somewhere. The bundle cost me $20 (the death note is awesome by the way)

I tried a new tactic and ended up with far more "umms" then I wanted. I got tired of planning things out and decided to talk with no rehersal and edit out any major mistakes and deadspace later.

I noticed, but u documented it nicely. I don't think most autographs were worth it...even the FREE voice actor ones ONLY CAUSE OF THE LINE UPS. It's easier for voice actors, but I heard a Bruce Campbell one took 4-5hrs for one.

Frankly I woulda had a better sketch set up for Masquerade but I didn't know bout using music, stage ninjas or time limits. Still, on my 1st try I won for horror.

oh shoot. Well I'm sure u had a LONG trip back 2ottawa. Me I stayed in a cheap hostel a few nights to catch all 3days cause I'm just west of Toronto.

I was #32 Carnage from Marvel. There are 2 users who've uploaded the whole masquerade. So u can see what was missed.

I actually stayed with my mom. She's in Peterborough so it wasn't that far. I went back to Ottawa the next day. If I go to fan expo another year I'm going to try to stay in toronto, or at least go on two days.

I'd suggest doin what I did, each night is just $25 and some have big free breakfasts, or free tours, bars, lounges, and events.

Welcome back. I would have loved to go with you. I've actually never been to an expo before but it sounds like fun. Yeah $40 to $60 is steep. I would only pay that for Michael Dorn, Avery Brooks, or Patrick Stewart. And I almost forgot Brent Spiner. I actually met Avery Brooks once at a super market in Princeton, NJ. They're my favorites from the Star Trek series. Are you as concerned about Marvel being bought by Disney as I am?
