So best would be 500bhp for 5.0l etc. America is generally 150-200 behind that marker. Japan is usually with 80 or sometimes above. And Europe is always close. The fact of the matter is Americans are always behind everything stock vs. stock and can NEVER go around corners.
haha, sadly, the mustangs have somewhat of high gears in them, 8.8 stock i believe, thats nothing for the quarter mile, i have a 98 GT, 4.6 and i'm getting 3.73 installed, i'll take on any car that wasn't manufacture in the US........or italy for that matter with those babies. it looks like the mustang really just got a bad start and maybe missed the shift into second, possibly because he was not expecting the race to start the way it did

you need to get YOUR facts straight the 99-04 GT's are mid to low 14 sec cars...VERY FEW drivers can break them into the 13's stock...and i drive one...however, i have beaten a wrx impreza in my GT

The Cobra's get the DOHC and 4valves per cylinder, while the 05+ GT's have the 3vavle motor. Bone stock 99-04 GT's can crack 13.60's in the quarter mile with a decent driver. This video is a pure example of how a poor driver can make a bunch of import owners think their mid 14sec car is faster than a Mustang.
yes because a wrx with just a flash and exhaust runs 13.4-13.3, and a few other upgrades like sti turbo and it can run 12.5s add methanol and u touch the 11s..

And the 94 GT was the last or second to last year of the 5.0L engine, which only put out about 200 horsepower to the wheels, so of course you beat it!
I have one last thig to say for all you people who say omg sti ahhhh well think about this. Your buying a car you can buy a 03 Mustang Gt for 13 grand or you can buy 03 sti for around 20 grand for the money you woulda spent on the sti youll be running mid to low 10's possible 9's in the mustang
First of all, to the idiot who said the Mustang had a 4.6L you're wrong. '04 and '05 had the 5.0L and then in '06 they switched to the 4.6L. I owned a '94 GT and I now own an '06 WRX = the WRX flat out dominates the Mustang in every category. The only plus the Mustang has is it's transmission is stronger (handles heavy modding alot better) than the WRX's 5-speed which would break once you get into the 300+ awhp range.

the 8.8" is the size of the rear end, it has nothing to do with the differential gear ratio. Stock mustang GT's at least from 99-04 come with 3.27:1.

You should read more. The 06+ wrx has the 2.5 L like the STI. The turbo is smaller,etc... but people are breaking into mid to high 13's...
