@allhaih2 - The red/black high school was a high step show band. They were blowin and had a sound sound too. Most likely it a was a louisiana school since they had an SU like song selection

A few years back there was a high school battle of the bands in htown and a red/black school from beaumont or louisiana had a lone white dancer and she was gettin it and doin it!!
@mistermista00 I'm not sure who the red/black band was but McKinley is from Baton Rouge and they are very much a high school version of Southern University.
But theyre two totally different styles people. Thats like comparing east coast rap to southern rap or thrash metal bands to the old glam metal bands of the 80s. Both can give you entertainment. Its all preference. Ive always loved the SU dolls.
As for the persons debating on golden girls not having a black girl and the response of "yes the golden girls did have a black girl before", i cant ever recall a white dancing doll- maybe none have ever tried to become one. But there have been plenty of white SU band members. Alcorn St was the only HBCU band ive seen with white (reportedly russian) dance squad members back in the 80s

Beautiful Women, Great Schools, and Baton Rouge and Louisiana are lucky to have them all. I am from Baton Rouge, but moved to CA after the Army because my wife is from CA, and they don't have anything near the culture we have in Louisiana. CA culture is fake and manufactured. Louisiana culture is unique and real. If you were born and raised in Louisiana you can travel the world, but all roads will lead you back to LOUISIANA!!!!
eaither way i dont think that these two dance teams should be compared because for one SU is an HBCU and LSU is not. LSU is a more Tech. Dance Team and SU is both Tech. & Show style. But I will Say that LSU has used more Tech. Then SU. No disrespect.
Dancing Dolls did not originate dance lines. This video alone does not show anything sustained on either squad that would allow anyone to make a fair assessment as to who is better. Based on what I have seen in the past, though, LSU squad is the better squad with respect to techniqque, As far as attitude, glamor and sexiness, SU is better at that. Take your pick. I like chocolate, though.

I prefer SU Dancing Dolls However, The LSU Golden Girls are wonderful Aestically and technically....I think the whole comparrison of the two squads is silly and very infantile. We as a "Americans" particularly "African Americans" are so obssesed with comparing races and who does what better and who has more class....I say find a better hobby.. better yet travel more and just experience Life and people outside of the US

Dancing Dolls period and I am biased. However the difference is that Dolls have more flavor than Golden Girls and I'm a native of Baton Rouge. It's rare wen any black girls make Golden Girls.
