i was apart of the BUTI choir that sang in this .... and I of course opened stephen speilibergs dressing room by accident... it was awkward

We were there last night, all the way from Holland. It was such a great surprise when John called out Kate, but when he welcomed Steven Spielberg, I nearly fainted! We liked the selection he played. Also, the encores "Marion's Theme" and "Flying" from E.T. were great..! And to hear 'The Olympic Spirit' live (a change Williams made in the playlist), wow..! When John left, we got to his car to ask for an autograph. He smiled, raised his hands and kindly said 'no'. All in all, a great night!

Where did you see him getting into his car? We were waiting by the stage door for ages and he never came out. We were all heart broken. Apparently he only signs autographs during the rehearsal.

I was there too and it was absolutely amazing to see both Williams and Spielberg - I think I was so stunned when Spielberg took the stage that I didn't really remember what he said - thanks for posting this and refreshing my memory!

Thanks so much for posting this. I was there last night and it was a once in a lifetime experience for to see not only John Williams but Steven "God" Spielberg. I knew somebody would post some of the good parts and you didn't disappoint! Great night!
