why is lightning/electricity always chromatically portrayed in yellow (aside from blue or white) in animation when used as blasts by a cartoon character? electricity is blue or white, so why use yellow? just asking. maybe because lightning is an intense form of energy and light, and yellow is the brightest color (except white) in the chromatic spectrum. hence the association. there, i answered my own wondering. haha.

@ azgone34...you can actually see a male version of storm in the exiles comic series when psylocke is in it...it's during the house of M saga and it shows the gender counter of storm, psylocke, kitty, rouge, rachel, and a few others...the artist did a poor job lol

If you knew anything about the comic series and her character Storm chants as a form of focus. Xavier, her teacher and mentor, taught primarily on control. Storm's power is a great one. She chants as a form of focus, just as Buddhist would due to meditate. It also gives drama and dialogue to the battle and comic. Sorry but a comic writer can only write "BIFF", "BANG", "SHAZAM", and "ZAP", but for so long.

I was reading that in the future she looses her powers and pics up Sorcerery which is in her blood, she comes from a line of white hair'd blue eye'd princesses.

it gets confusing when i new cartoon comes out and its never the same.

@krisstoffjavaughn -- storm is an avatar of both magic and her x-gene. in the mainstream comic...prof X helped storm realize her mutant powers but she still has roots to her ancestral background...which is white magic.

In other universes...she is magic user and possible candidate for sorcerer supreme.

also..she is one of the most powerful beings in the marvel universe...and of the few marvel characters that can house 'eternity' in her body.

I love how they did her hair back then. I liked her hair in Evolution a lot too. I hate her new circle hairstyle in Wolverine and the X Men. Rave about the new one all you want, but back in the day, the animators cared about hair ; )
