@HoodwinkedbyanAngel Well given the fact that California, as well as many other western states (well the "U.S." for that matter), was colonized you are correct when stating that this was once a GREAT STATE. When the NATIVES of the North American continent were colonized they were forced to adjust socially, politically and economically etc. Now that the country seems to be returning to its prior demographic state, the effects of "Manifest Destiny" are far more recognizable.
