They also witnessed the fake court date they calendared, and then alleged that Joe failed to appear. "Appear" is a 'legal term of art" meaning to "grant jurisdiction". Joe is a Sovereign

Next time try not resisting the police or doing something you shouldn't be doing. When you fight the police they have every right to defend themselves, they're not just going to let you beat on them. They're going to make sure you're down and secured in cuffs to get you under control.

Curious as to where you live or why you live there. I'm not sure I'm buying the story. It makes no sense, unless there is more backdrop to this story. I've seen enough episodes of all the live cop TV shows to know that versions of what really happened get wildly distorted from actual events. Two of a few choices: move from your hayseed area if cops really are so backward there (they're just reflective of the overall environment), or, if you are seriously anti-authority, you all go seek help.
