  • This setup was scrapped because it made shitty power and spooled really late.

  • mmm disco potatoes.

  • sick audi!!! love euros!!!

  • name of the first song??

  • I run a GT3076R on my 2.5L and i see full boost (28psi) by ~4k rpm (500whp), daily driven.. IMO if you're going for a high HP street car (800whp+)this would be perfect setup..

  • Also, consider that turbo is used on the Lingenfelter Corvettes and they make 700 HP plus with them...that engine is over 6.0 liters and they still run the 2871Rs on it.

  • Guys, I run the GT2871Rs on a 5.0 liter V8 and they make gobs of power with a very wide powerband. That turbo is rated for 1.8 liters up to 3.0 liters. You have 1.4 liters per bank here...it's too small to really punch that turbine, unless you plan to turn 9K RPM or so with it. So you may make 800 HP with mega boost but you'll have no power until you are at 80% of max engine speed. See my video...there are twin GT2871Rs on that car and they are perfect for a high HP street car.

  • Those turbos are too big for a 2.8 liter engine. Even a 28Rs is pretty big when you consider you have that little displacement driving it. The 2871R can be used on 2.5 liters and works really well.

  • I disagree. The ARs on this turbo are all wrong, .86 AR is too big for twins on this car. With .48 AR housings this car would kick ass. Too bad it never really spools. I'm running the equivalent of a GT35R on a 1.8, works fine.

  • They aren't too big, if your goal is close to 800 awhp. You size turbos with regards to how much power you want, and then its just a matter of how much lag you can stand. Twin 2871 or twin 30r will definitely be pushing the boundry of "too laggy" for a street car.

  • dammit I thought this was going to be a vid of the car finished...you tease!
