He never has shown anyone his Birth Certificate, only a Certificate of Live Birth, which isn't a legal document. The problem with that was that he moved to the U.S. about at the time Hawaii reached statehood, so a lot of Birth Certificates were faked during that time. FactCheck's facsimile had a list of problems. A real CoLB would have the doctor's signature on it who performed the birth. There was only one doctor in the maternity ward that night, and he doesn't have record of 0bama.

A Certificate of Live Birth is a legal document as far as the State Department is concerned. This is the document you are expected to produce when applying for a passport, for example. Obama's CoLB contains the signature of the doctor, the raised seal, and it was recently approved by the Hawaii health department as authentic. In addition to that, hospital employees of that time stepped forward and testified that they'd witnessed his birth.

I think this is a real simple issue for President Barack Obama to resolve.

Just release the long version of your birth certificate and it would clearly prove you are a legal US citizen fit to serve as the US President.

The short version is not enough to prove that you are a citizen to become the President.

All presidential candidates, all races and political parties. An identical bill is in congress. Of course, they'll all be quashed - Obama is not about to release his birth records, ever.

Well it is true, there is no doubt that there is a cover up regarding his Birth Certificate. Furthermore, he is spending loads of money to hire lawyers to make sure its never officially investigated. Courts keep dismissing the legal claim to see the actual certificate. Its clear Rachael Maddow doesnt know the fake image put up by Obama's administration is not a Birth Certificate. She clearly needs to educate herself on official documents. Obama is hiding and blocking certain information. Fact.
