Um, do you understand how the senate works? There are 100 senators. 49 Dems, 49 Repubs and two independants. 100. 52 senators voted for the bill. There are 49 Democratic senators. This means that 3 non-Democrats crossed party lines to voted with the ALL of the Democrats, not the Democrats were bent over by their own party. Take a high school civics class before you make such ignorant statements.
