OMG - far from an amazing performance! They definately have the potential and some good moves, but yes, their arm extentions were very far apart, losing her in the distance and making her look lost alot of times. I could definately put down a great fast paced salsa performance and I think with more practice on cleaning up their dance they'll be good performers.

it is true you cannot see the expression on their faces but if you see two hip hop dancers (using your example) with the same emotion on both faces and with the same skills but one you can see that it not exactly dancing in a "happy" way ,as in body language, and the other one is dancing with a form of “happiness” then one can see the difference through their bodies not expressions

She seems to be a good follow, but he is a boring lead, and not very skillful in his own dancing and style. It doesn't take all that much lead skill to throw your partner from one side to the other. It does take considerable skill to draw the audience's attention to an interesting lead. Check Oliver Pineda or Ataca Jorgie (among others) to see a fine and skillful lead.

I actually do dance. I am competitive latin dancer, and I can tell you that they are not all that amazing. They are fast sure, and she can spin really well, but if you look closely, you can tell that she is a lot better than him. His footwork is actually really sloppy, and his moves are very repetitive. They are flashy sure, and he leads her through a lot of double and triple spins, but double spinning requires more talent on her part than on his. The lead is pretty much the same.

ur right that guy is really not putting too much effort into his dancing, it could be cuz he is dancing in a suit or he just wants to make the girl look good i dont know, he does do alot of cross body leads and 360's (explains his place changing) but those moves are essential to salsa which sets up for many moves, salsa is a beautiful dance try to get more into it! hopes this helps
