This is what Mawlana Rumi says about Olagh turks, Turk Khandedan greft az dastan, Chashmi tangash gasht basta han zaman. translation; Turk started laughing about the story, his tiny eyes eyes closed themselves from the world at that moment.-- So Mawlana Rumi acknowledges the tiny eyes or oriental features of Turks in his poems while Rumi as a Tajik Balkh didnt have that kinda of feature himself.

Jalal al-Din Rumi, the Persian Sufi Sage and Poet, was born in Balkh on the 30th September, 1207. His proper name was Mubammad, title Jalal al-Din and later "Khudawandagar", "lord".
