  • Jay following the camera - hilarious!

  • 0:07 i can't believe donny was already....HANDSOOOMMEE!!

  • I think there is a lot of LOVE in the Osmond family and I truly believe they were extremely loved by their Mother and Father... Their love for one another is a testament to how they were raised. They have Faith...

  • I really believe their father abused them. Maybe not to the extent we hear of some children being abused but I think they were. I knew a woman once who was severly abused as a child by her father and all her life she would defend him but outsiders would wonder how she could still speak so highly of him after he did all the things he did. Abused children often defend the abuser if the abuser is a parent.

  • @TroyBilt007 On the basis that I was not there I cant say it didnt happen but I think that when kids are told off by their parents spanked & maybe sent to their oom etc, its not abuse but discipline and thats all I imagine is happening during thieir childhood. I people should be careful what they assume. Assumptions are hurtful to those being talked about as actual accusations against loved ones. I think people are going OTT on an assumption. It's dangerous and harmful.

  • WONDER IF THEY GOT WHIPPINGS LIKE THE JACKSONS U DONT GET KIDS TO HOE BEETS WITHOUT THE THREAT OF A BEATING YEA I RECKON THEY WAS WHUPPED!

  • @HOANANIULOA

The went through physical discipline, but then just about everyone raised in the 50's, 60's, and 70's did, but they were never beaten/physically abused like the Jackson's were.

  • @HOANANIULOA I assume you are referring to the documentary I have called Being the Osmonds? If so its part 2/5 starting at around 6:15. They talk about the regime of growing up in a strict household. IMO no way does that compare to Joe Jacksons abuse! If Donny see's it as a form of abuse thats his right, but they were not 'whupped' nor did they claim to be physically abused in the way I assume you are implying. The strongest word used is spanking. I got a spankings growing up but was not abused

  • @dundonian35 man read between the lines their father was in the military blowing bugels at 6 o clock sharp keepin them working day and night donny even says he wished he could go play football instead of the recording studio, one brothers suicidal, maries been thru 2 marriages, her own son comitted suicide they lost a fortune and gained a pound white folk r just better at keeping it all under wraps its all about the squeaky clean image NOT!

  • @HOANANIULOA I have the distinct impression that have a serious problem with anyone who was raised with the ethics of hard work. Yeah, the Osmond's had it hard, but they worked together as a family unit to get the chores done.

FYI - your comments on Marie's marriages and the death of her son Michael - that's just plain cruel!!! You ought to be ashamed of yourself!! I'd like to see you suffer the loss of a child - then you'll know how painful it really is!!!

  • @dundonian35 michael jackson gave 350 million of his money to the world and its various charities and so on he did not give to just one select group and like joe jackson once said if i beat my children i beat them all the way to the bank ! the osmonds didnt elaborate on how there father beat them but its OBVIOUS!

  • @HOANANIULOA Oh, forgot to say that the family gave a pretty good percentage of their earnings to their church. They refused to declare bankrupty because that would mean creditors may not be paid in full. Their conscience didn't allow them to do that. And shock horror that rich and famous people live in big houses and drive fancy cars. Who would have believed such a thing lol ;-) I don't think an Osmond/Jackson comarison is working in this instence, especially not on the abuse element.

  • @HOANANIULOA

read what all the osmonds have to say before you comment on things that you don't understand......now i will not waste any more time on this. Bless George and Olive for doing such a wonderful job (even if it was a little tough at times) of raising such honorable, caring, humble men.

  • @rhiann0n1 I HAVE READ I HAVE LISTEND HAVE U? IVE GOT NOTHING AGAINST THE OSMONDS BUT IF U THINK THEIR LIVES WERE ANY LESS ABUSIVE OR ROSIER THAN HE JACKSONS YR DELUDED THEY NOW ENTERTAIN BUSLOADS OF OLD PENSIONERS, FAT OLD LADIES FROM THE PAST AS THEIR LOYAL FANS I THINK ITS RATHER SAD!

  • Father Osmond says near the end " He wanted to please the kids and find an occupation they would enjoy".... what happened to KIDS being children and not an occupation??!! Kids should not have an occupation!!!

They were 4,6 8 and 10 and even younger when they started! I think maybe 1 or 2 people saw these kids as.... a Meal Ticket ??

Love the Osmonds.. not so sure about their parents ( RIP anyway).

  • Both of Maries husbands have said they did not like being called " Mr. Osmond". This could be a tough famiily to marry into, especially for a guy.

  • This must be old as their parents are both deceased. It's interesting that 8 of their children are happily married, for 20* years. Only Marie has been divorced - twice.

  • Tom has also been divorced and remarried. Although I am not a Marie fan in that I'm no into Country music she does seem to be a lovely fun lady, but out there, So I've often wondered when seeing her with her brothers, especially Donny, if she acted the same around her husbands. Husbands are not brothers but I wonder if they felt like they were the 9th brother. I have no idea obviously but maybe that's what happens when you're the only girl in such a large family. They'll look after her though.

  • @dundonian35 Not sure about her 2nd husband Brian, but her 1st husband Steve was cheating on her. I don't care how you treat someone, nobody deserves that!!

  • @jdgolf499 I agree, you marry you should be faithful or end the marriage and move on.

  • I love the way Jay laughs at 7:43! lol! so cute!

  • i havent seen this in 4 yrs

  • Me too! I can't get enough!

  • Thank you so much for putting this back on. I love watching it. Love them.

  • Love this! Thanks!
