  • can you use a water based make up for this method?

  • @jimmyefc08 you can use any make-up for this method. I've used everything from cheap make-up that only cost a dollar a tube, to high end alcohol based makeup that costs $40 for a small bottle. The preference is up to the user really :) I wish you luck!

  • Hey I Use That I How do i keep it from mixing?

  • Wow, you look a little like Maggie Gyllenhaal :O

Btw, this Joker makeup is really good, well done!

Oh and I'm a huge fan of Heath, you should check my channel out! :D

  • As a juggalo I love that every one has clown love now.

  • hey... this was great help... thank you so much!!

  • is there any certain white cream make up you used? that works the best for you? or just any kind?

  • The cream make-up I used in my tutorial was made by Rubies and it cost less than a dollar at Wal-Mart. However, any white 'clown' face make-up will do the job just fine.

  • i use rigid collidian for the scars, and they look deep. but when i put it on with red cream make-up cuz i couldn't find any red lip stick so when i put the red cream on the scars it didn't look as deep as it was before, any tips on how to make it look deeper with make-up on?

  • If you have some black cream make-up on hand, you can mix just a touch of it with the red to make a darker shade and dab that on the inside of the scars and that will make them look deeper.

  • thanks!

  • Sorry, but how did you break open the mascara bottle? I tried with scissors and I tried to break it open with my hands, and that didn't work. How did you do it?

  • I used a pair of pliers and snapped off the top. However, you can just get the mascara out of the tube with the brush it comes with and rub it off onto a paper plate and add just a touch of water to it. Or, you can scrap the mascara all together and just use black face make-up which works just as well.

  • for the black circle around the eyes, can you use black cream based makeup? will it get the same effect as the mascara?

  • Yes you can! Since I made this tutorial I actually started using the black cream around my eyes with the same effect! Just dab it on with a brush and you're set!

  • last night i went to a costume party as the joker, and my makeup came out like the interegation scene, it was cool and everyone loved it, but i think i didnt the white cream based makeup wrond, i didnt dab it on my face and it tended it smear in a way, anyways thanks! really cool.

  • Get a big poofy make-up brush and dab it in babypowder and gently brush it all over your make-up. That will help seal it and keep it from smudging. I've had my make-up last for almost ten hours without it looking any different then when I first put it on. Hope that helps you out. If you need any other suggestions, feel free to ask!

  • So you can use black liquid eyeliner?

  • I don't see why not. I've used eyeliner, mascara and black cream face paint all with excellent results!

  • Okay, thanks!

  • hey great tutorial bt how long did this take you to do 7 mintes cuz imma be the joker for halloween lol and i wanna like know how long it takes lol (im happy cuz i also have that white cream maeup lol)

  • oh lol i meant did it take you like 15 minutes (cuz you have a part 2 haha)

  • From start to finish this takes about 15 minutes to do. Sometimes I spend a little longer on it if I want it to look really grungy. The more you practice, the less time it will take!

  • ok thanks lol :D

    great job btw

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WHY SO SERIOUS?

YOU JUST PUT A SMILE ON UR FACE!

lol.I love your joker make up, you look just like joker you just need the Red/Orange WIG and a Nurse suit and you can dress up like in the hospital scene! That one's my fave!

    thanks for uploading the vid!

  • thanks!!!

im dressing up as him 4 halowwen so this helps

  • i love u, this is a great video, you are the best.

  • Awesome vid. For the wrinkles you gotta scrunch up your face when applying the white, just a tip. Using mascara and water for the eyemakeup is a good idea!

  • Thanks! I tried scrunching up my forehead, but alas, I have absolutely no wrinkles whatsoever, which is why I resorted to drawing them in myself. LOL

  • Young women don't usually want wrinkles! My skin is nice from avoiding the sun.

  • You have a wonderful voice for an instructional video. It sounds pretty (as you are too), and you speak so clearly and good strong pace. And you explain things well too, I feel like I could do this just by listening to the video, with my eyes closed. Maybe this could be a career path!

  • I already said thank you on lj, but y'know, double thanks.

    I can't wait 'til Halloween.
