"I love Lucy, Happy Days, Sanford and Son" just to name a few. so they did it for a cartoon not that big a deal. This was one of the cartoons that Famous Studios made which used little new animation and relied on old footage from earlier ones-in this case the classic 1936 Fleischer cartoon Popeye the Sailor Meets Sindbad the Sailor.Max Fleischer was very offended when he saw these on television in the late 1950s.
