Go to games list and make sure that next to episode 1 and 2 (under load) it says yes.

If it doesn't, highlight the game, click toggle mount and restart synergy

hey I've been trying to fix this for days.

I just recently bought Half Life Complete and tried to go on synergy to play Ep1 and Ep2 but it says I'm missing the games. I uninstalled the game then reinstalled it but it didn't help. Please reply if you know how to fix this.

It's only for PC. There are no Half-Life games that can be online, but Valves other products can.

Yes Synergy is free, but you have to download it for Steam. It is not available through XBL.
