This is good. I know I'm gonna get thumbs down for this, but I'm really getting sick of everyone IMMORTALIZING the Beatles. I know they truly were both a critical and commercial landmark, but they aren't deities, while quality bands like Franz are considered specks in comparison. Again they are GREAT but not untouchable. Nothing bad to say. They took the song, they made it thems, but actually, the song sing by them is way less ambivalent. When he sings it, we can feel he was really desperate when he was alone. Im a huge Beatlefan and dont really care for Franz Ferdinand that much except for a song here and there but I gotta say I enjoyed this cover cos of the sheer fact that it does sound like FF covering a Beatles song. You've probably never really listened to franz ferdinand before, but 1. Alex could never make his voice sound like The Beatles version. 2. A cover isn't supposed to sound exactly like the original, if it did, why not listen to the original.

They know they aren't The Beatles, so they rightfully changed the style. His voice is really good in basically everything he sings, this included. This is one of the few bands that stays true to rock.

Of all the Beatles covers I've heard, this is awesome, because it is not a copy of the original. That is the big issue with the bands that try in vain to do a cover of The Beatles, they do not succeed because the entire time they want to sound like the Beatles themselves, which is impossible.

A good cover should contain the essential features of the performer band, and Franz Ferdinand succeeds brilliantly.
