  • Lol not every tank in the future will have a robo fish. There not going to put all of that natural selection in guppies, bettas and every other fish to waste

  • How long before these things are on the market?

  • Took 3 years to make that crap??

  • Can it go any faster?

  • eddie070878 your as useless as tits on a boar hog!!! Hope you don't have any desire to have kids to contaminate the rest of the world with your pathetic gene pool! This is the perfect weapons delivery system both fresh and salt water. Yes even fish tanks. Lets hope our government is checking all fish tanks in anyplace important people congregate or "school" together. There may be a fish fry involved

  • 180turnabout:

I really do feel sorry for you..."weapons"...your gene cesspool is definitely a bigger contamination of human kind.

You should at least have the courage to reply directly to others so they know when the sludge has left that pathetic, half-witted brain you allegedly possess.

  • 180turnabout:

Guess I must be pretty useful since boar hogs DO have tits...ya mook!

  • @eddie070878 pwnt

  • @jedihunter176 I'm curious...what does "pwnt" mean?

  • @eddie070878 i have always wondered that myself lol

  • AWESOME! But...I wonder if it is programmed with any defense mechanisms? Imagine letting one of these loose in the open water and it being eaten!

  • It has lasers... Really, look closer, it does! :-P

  • definitely a step in the wrong direction

  • robo-fish: as useless as tits on a fish

  • It appears that you have a limited vision of the capabilities and opportunities:

    - Seabed exploration

    - Marine life tracking and observation

    - Underwater filming

    - Underwater mapping

    - Wreck investigation

    - Pollution tracking

    - Military applications

    etc.

  • All that stuff is already possible, I stand by my truth said in jest! If that really could be the reasoning behind the funding for this project, I'd call that over-spending people's money...especially with that last suggestion!

  • Yeah, military applications...some people can't find quick enough ways to kill each other...sigh.

As for the others, yes they can be done (I knew you were groin to say that!) but this technology could make it easier, quicker or less intrusive. Eg. a mini-sub rover is a lot larger than a fish and is usually tethered so a robot fish may be a better alternative for inspecting dangerous wrecks. Or maybe a whale would not mind a small fish following it instead of a couple of humans .
