Don't listen to the people telling you to buy a new one,cuz them people don't even know what they are talking about . but anyways just take the monitor apart and fix it yourself, and by doing that, you won't have to worry about buying a new one !
my stupid monitor is samsung having resolution is 1440x900 at first when i bought this monitorit showed it resolution but after some time the monitor gives flickiring and now the resolution is also gone i have replaced my comp cable but still no hope i have a ge force 7600 gs what do i do plz tell me
Can anyone help me on this one: When I open some window or play games my computer suddenly switches back to desktop, so I need to press again that window or the icon on the status bar with my mouse, so that I could return to the game. I would appreciate if anyone tell me the solution to this problem. This switching repeats every 20 + seconds.
dont bother trying to fix it or buy a new one because mine does the same thing... hp1502
and all i do is i put on a screen saver so you dont have to turn off your computer all you do is you make the screen saver on and you turn your energy saver off... unless it starts to blink when you use it for a specific amount of time. your s o l
That looks like the same monitor I fixed not to long ago. The problem was 1 bad capacitor. If you feel daring. Open up your monitor. Look at capacitor laying on its side. Or you can put your ear up to the back of the monitor and listen for a loud pitch squeal. If you hear that squeal/screech noise. Its definitely a capacitor. I replaced it with a capacitor from Radio Shack.

Just picked my vp2030b up from the shop. It was doing the same exact thing. Bad capacitors in the power section of the monitor.

try using a different cable or a different interface (vga or hdmi if it has it)

Imacs aren't a solution to problems like this.
Viewsonic monitors are inexpensive, and don't last long. If you did some research before you bought you'd know that.
I use viewsonics because they have the highest pixel/inch ratio that I could find.
Guy below is correct- blown capacitor. You can fix these things yourself if you know how to use a soldering iron.
