Det är inte direkt svårt att känna igen likheten om man exempelvis jämför Engel - Six Feet Deep mot den generella musikbilden som In Flames producerar.

Ja, det är olika genrer men det är inte hela sanningen. Det finns många genrer som är väldigt lika. I detta fall skulle jag säga (genrer åsidosatta till och med) att In Flames och Engel har många liknande element i sin musik.

Det är snarare svårt att inte dra den jämförelsen, om man har hört båda banden.

with the heart that hurts a bit and after a month in a row listening the new album, I must say I am not very satisfied with some things ..

I who am one of the biggest fans of Engel (I think that even a large decal of their name printed on the car) I never thought that some of the new songs I would have liked at all. generally find this disc written with less emotion than absolute design.

The speech I do mostly on magnus that if once found his way to sing incredibly special, authentic and full of feeling now I am much set and cold. no more screaming with rage inside by pushing on high notes as they did previously, now there are even some songs (thank God a few) that makes lots of growl as it does every fucking metal singer in the world. Sometimes the melodic parts are played like a song

..an example is "heartsick" that I like very much (at times reminds me of Katatonia) but I realize that will never be as old hits like "Casket Closing "or" calling out ". In many tracks the battery scores were brutally flattened, missing a lot of launches and interesting ideas, the guitars at times sound more fresh, less deep and therefore the sound wall crumbles a bit.

Overall, "threnody" is still a great record, but there are songs like "Roll the ten" that is inaudible to me, certainly the worst song of all hard .. but what the fuck is there among them? .. Everything turns out to be burped like growl that occasionally jumps in a ridiculous scream, the melodic part that seems to be the only salvation of the song ... then the guitar parts are indescribably ugly, especially the solo..

appreciation that I have done is drop an octave at the end of the song! also songs like "down" does not make me mad whose parts are almost cheerful melody of the chorus while the rest of the song and sung so impostatissima belching. Even the solos here are predictable and already heard, especially for their sound .. nice the part after two minutes when the drums pounding, but nothing new.

Discussion About batteries pounding, "feed the Weak" is nothing if not very original really pompous .. is structured by a battery dry beats, a powerful guitar playing and even if magnus deep screams, he does it with style .. the result is that gives you a magnificent whack load!

"For Those Who Will Resist" is simply wonderful, you can find all of the power of engel absolute design! "Every right" and "elbow knives and" other two songs are amazing! Then there's "perfect isis" not advance nothing.. could pleasure, but also not. by engel I never expected a song like that!!

In conclusion, the disc is really nice and Engel are still my favorite band but I expected a bigger
