I know how hard it is to swim in it for the first time! Its really hard! but the way your swimming is making me cringe. Try to not kick but to just move your legs in a swaying motion.

I would love to find one of those for myself. You don't suck at swimming in it. It's probably just tough - did the tail have more buoyancy than was expected? It looked like it was the one keeping you up at the surface.
