There is nothing more about christianity that really pisses me off is the blind belief that it is "god's plan that innocent children should die every day of starvation while he is busy (so the christians believe) helping them win football games and getting them out of paying parking tickets.
even though i dont agree with a lot of things in christianity i think your way of critisizing it is unfair and inaccurate. god the creator not the one of the christians still remains the most logical theory that we have
@julecezar213 if you ever stop and listen to the big bang theory told by some one who is actualy smart like stephen hawking it makes more since and some what disproves god all together
@thehoodlum1919 I find it amazing how can you critisize men made religion all day long and then later you easily beleive in another man made theory of how the universe was made. the universe is bigger than you and me and stephen hawking to understand it and unlock its mystery, that is why in religion we have submission at some point, even stephen has to have that faith to beleive in his own theory
@julecezar213 there is more evidence for it then a god first off the galaxies are moveing apart so that means at one point they all needed to be in one place at one point the singularty
@thehoodlum1919 science does not work like that, we dont accept a theory as a fact simply cause we dont have enough evidences for other ideas. yeah the universe is expanding which might means that it was in point before, but is that a fact? no because we do not know what could happen in the middle of that process, unless you were there when it started you can never prove it. as a smart person, do you really beleive that the world just happen to work that way? everywhere u look you see God
@julecezar213 how do you know its your god? there are thousands of other gods you could believe in but you choose yours i dont know what one you do worship but im guess the christian god who is the most easy to prove fake
@thehoodlum1919 my evidence is this whole world, including us, you can argue all you want where all this came from, whatever conclusion you come up with, I will tell you that is just your way of calling god. evolution and big bang if you were fair should make you beleive in creation actualy rather than anything else.
@thehoodlum1919 you are right and it is more logic to me that there is a high power behind the universe and the laws of physics and the evolution. I just cant be a result of nothing in a mean of no design
@julecezar213 okay well put it this way if the laws of physics are unchangibal that includes god he either can or cannot make a rock that even he can't lift so he has limitations so he has to play by the laws of nature how did he create time before there was time to create
@thehoodlum1919 no that does not include god, cause the laws that applied on any invention dont apply on the inventor, take a table for example, it is immobile, does not grow, think, eat, bleed, get sad or happy, and is made out of wood, nails, and paint. so can you say the same thing about the carpenter. the laws just dont apply on the carpenter. what you said about god and a rock that he cant lift is a contradiction in our laws, not in his. you have to think out of the box( means out of laws)
@thehoodlum1919 that is just your point of view and that doesnt mean it is true. i could find something amazingly done and failing to know who made it doesnt mean i will fail to understand what i found. I can see and understand the universe which why we have a brain, but God is beyond that, it is really simple. creatures can and will never understand the creator or they will be the same.
Merry Christmas to all of you. May be the new year a new beginning - of peace, happiness in spirit and that we should never forget people who suffer; not only our loved ones, but also our foreigners. Let's share and build this world as better place for us all !
Hi there, thanks for sharing your ideas. We all should do that sometimes and ofcouse, respect others point of view. I think this video explains in a easy way the reason, so many people don't believe in God, creator, or The Source etc.
Unfortunately, there are still many religions and people that has a brain or understanding of a size of a golf ball including myself, so when we read the bible or anything else our understanding can not be bigger than a golf ball.
God in short is a placebo ( a sugar pill ) for hope. A placebo, psychologically makes the person who takes it to believe that "some chemical" in the pill that he took is going to cure him, and it does. Hope is the main factor to sustain human life, without a hope for a better tomorrow in this miserable world, most of them would kill themselves. "god" is the placebo that man created to produce "hope". The concept of god still manages to survive because it can neither be proved or disproved.
all of the bible was made up stories to have the world walk into a better path rather than hurting one another buddy. Yes maybe none of it happened the thing is whoever created these beautiful tales were teaching many a lesson. all religions in general have good morals i feel all people should take in. we discover new things each day so who may even know what the world was capable of a long time ago
@gunshow911 philosophy is from religion in the same way astronomy is from astrology. Yes we discover new things each day, we can now enjoy the bounties of astronomy whilst laughing at astrology, likewise we have far superior morality in this modern age and can laugh at religion. I doubt we ever needed it, nowadays we certainly dont.
@mehico33 you laughing at religion just proves ur side is complete bullshit. you dont have a clear point here your just saying theres no need for religion because of morality. you are not liking religion because theere is a basis and rules without questioning. i dont like that either but you cant tell me a person who is religious isnt living a good life. i question everything and believe only what i truly have experienced. and for that, your discriminant against religious freaks and im not one.
@gunshow911 Another nonsensical reply, ive come to expect as much from the religious (hence my laughter). The best reply to a ridiculous idea is to... RIDICULE it.
My laughter "proves" nothing, other than that I find something funny. I see you (rather typically) have a very low standard for what constitutes proof.
I "cant tell" you "a person who is religious isnt living a good life"?? Yes I can, but why would I? My point is that we dont need it.
@mehico33 laughter i just being a dick head guy. its like u obviously wont change my view but ur debating like and idiot lol. You have showed me absolutely no proof for your claims anyways. you basically have a religion yourself. your religion is being a dick to other religious peoples ideas. your telling me we dont need religion when in fact your a follower of athiesim. thats religion basically
@gunshow911 You admit to being close minded and im an idiot? Lol, youve got that rather backwards my friend, I just have a lot of time on my hands. Religion is a dogmatic ideology in reverance of a deity so in no way is atheism a religion, but what should I expect from one as intelligent as yourself.
The brain is what truly separates us from the animals (although in the truest sense we are animals), you really ought to use yours a little more.
@mehico33 oh i use my brain pretty well sir. im not close minded at all u got it backwards. im open minded to eveything thats why everything is possible. and u act like im a religious fanatic. ur the one preaching how believeing something other than yourself is wrong. dude that just shows u love yourself a little too much bud. obviously im intelligent i just dont go around being and asshole and commenting on peoples thoughts and bashing someones views. get over yourself the world hates your ways
@gunshow911 And thats exactly whats wrong with the world (if thats true), yet its oh so cozy with divisive religious dogmatism. Youre a fool to tolerate it (not to mention your nonsensical comments), so your "obviously im intelligent i just dont go around being an asshole" is obvious bullshit.
@mehico33 if everyone walked around acting like you then we would be robots. im a robot to nobody ur just going around once again being an asshole and ur answer for it is that im foolish lol. you started this not me obviously so my comment wasnt bullshit. u just made no sense saying i have nonsensical comments. based on whos opinion? nobody but urs stupid
@mehico33 lmao dude your so stupid. because i spell words that way im an idiot? that was a stupid comment since it got my point accross obviously you know what it meant so your really the stupid one. that was soo weak of you to use. and fuckwit? ur some old douchebag arent you? and you will never set anyone straight the way you handle things stupid ass. your big words doesnt mean your proving any kind of point which you clearly have been avoiding using those words. Vernacular is nothing its mess
@mehico33 you just did it again lol. nobody has commented so far calling me a "fool". and if you dont know what my comments mean, you need to wake up to 2011 because everyone uses abreviations asshole.
@mehico33 really? then what created us? the big bang? well thats a theory to so its no exactly true but then what created the big bang? life is a endless cause and effect which was created from some other time continueum and im thankful for it. You can sit here and tell me we happened to just get made the way we are and think the way we think by chance. your logic makes no sense.
@mehico33 what do you mean since when is life continuous cause and effect? think about it silly pants. im compltely right about that. and from cause and effect either it was endless making time the force of god or something started the one cause.
@mehico33 um lives dont end lol. Now your talking straight beliefs. theres people with out of body experiences including me and ik that there will be and endless life. You as an athiest need proof and thats proof. Now u give me proof life does end other than medical signs. Becausr you spirit could leave this world. its not impossible.
@gunshow911 You prove that the spirit actually exists, because the "evidence" you sight is incredibly weak/can be explained away easily (e.g.. dmt). Theres a reason they don't speak of souls in medicine. You can destroy any part of a humans character/faculties by damaging the brain, there is no conceivable way that the consciousness (which ill admit we know little about) could survive the brains total destruction in death. Your paddling against the stream brother, and moving backwards
@mehico33 see this is where i always end the argument. Evidence is an illusion. you give me plenty of evidence that something may be the truth but when is it actually THE TRUTH! you dont know. theres no arguing of right and wrong its an endless argument. youll always believe you ill never believe you leave it at that
@gunshow911 A closed mind is one that doesn't deserve an opinion. A mind that doesn't respect evidence or rationalize reality is one that should never be given credit/credibility. Im not accusing you of these things, this chat has been a decent exercise. But to say such things is to end any discussion, "how do you know this isn't the matrix?" for example.
Very cute, but, of course, you must realize that there is no philosophical veracity whatsoever to your presentation. Without commenting now on the actual content of the examples of "absurdity" that you present - you should know that no serious atheists rely on these to bolster their case, for, in the Biblical narratives, these are cited as being miraculous in nature, and by definition, outside empirical verification. You must first take on the idea of miracles in order to prove your point.
Stories such as Adam and Eve aren't meant to be taken literally. They have figurative meanings. Do I believe that those stories happened, No. I do however, believe in Jesus who didn't die for cred,he died to give the world a message. He taught his message in a tough world. Forgiveness, mercy, even love for the worst people in the world. Im a Christian who believes that science helps explain the universe and its laws. I still will always believe in a omniscient God. (not a magical sky beard man)
@2001Horatio there's not supposed to be evolution in religion.....Science and Religion are two different categories, not supposed to be related whatsoever... and evolution falls under science.
@heidiandfrankfan I completely agree.... in fact apart from Iran and a few 'backward' countries, only the US believes in mixing creationism (aka bullshit) with science. We're on the same page, you and I.
"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?" Num. 23:19
"In the same day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard."
God is not Shaving, but men are being Shaved (figuratively)
In my opinion, religion is nothing more than control. It tells you what to think, what to say and what you can do. If someone questions their faith, they are made to feel bad for doing so. In the bible, god tells humans to question it, but when you do, you're made to feel like an outsider.
your vulgar sarcasm and smart ass remarks still don't make your religion any better than anybody else's. if atheism is supposed to be so scientific and rational why then do they hold beliefs that either cannot or have not yet been proven, you know, scientifically?
We all know how important credit is. Our whole world economy is based on it. So let's all get on our knees and start giving credit to the old man in the sky. After all; he is the Prime Banker you know.
@TheMorriganLeFay Well for starters, Christians don't believe in a "bearded man" He took the Isaiah quote way out of context, aka "cherry picking" which i know theists often get accused of. Also Hes taking the old testament stories literally, many Christians don't take this part literally. Basically the whole of Christianity relies on whether Jesus rose from the dead or not, If he did, then it wouldn't surprise me at all if he did all the miracles. People should focus on the resurrection.
@atheistrocker100 Isa 7:20 Clearly says the Lord will take a razor to shave :) As far as not interpreting the OT as literal, there seems to be no popular consensus on which myths are literal or metaphorical. You seem to be more of a Theist Apologist than an Atheist, why is that?
"biblegateway(dot)com/passage/?search=Isaiah%207:18-25&version=NIV" Im not a Christian, but im not an atheist either. Id say im agnostic. I don't agree with "anti-theists" at all.
@atheistrocker100 Then your screen name is quite misleading. What's the point of parading around as an atheist to talk shit about other atheist's videos and then act like a theist whilst proclaiming to be agnostic?
@atheistrocker100 How do you like Christians more? Many Christians think you're stupid, evil, and hell-bound. Hell, some of them want the world to end and for us to go to hell. Mostly, the worst thing you hear from atheists (at least on Youtube and my experience) is that the religious are dimwits.
@roxyosox122 Many Christians probably do, but they are not the majority of Christians. All the Christians iv ever met (alot of them) Say real Christians don't want anyone to go to hell, the of the main factors of being a Christian is to help the "lost". I know there are fundamentalists who go round saying everyone is going to hell etc. But even i know they have just been taught some warped version of Christianity, the bible states quite clearly "do not curse but bless enemies" The thing is the
Why do some people waste their time arguing with these non- believers? if they don't believe in GOD, so be it, they only want attentions because they feel they are neglected. this is my first and last comment.
The thing about the Bible is that it is basically historical fiction. Just because Romans existed doesn't mean that the Bible is true (random example). There is history (wars, nations, etc) but there is also bullshit (rib women, talking snakes, etc).
I'm wondering when atheists and others who don't believe in God, when they die, and they see God, and he says depart from me, I do not know you, what will they think? When they see God and they denied him their entire life, and he says "Depart from me" and sends them to hell, will they still not believe or will they think "Geez I wish I had listened to the christians".
@smurfboywv Stupid question, If something is right in front of us of course we would believe it. Weather or not we would worship it is left up to the individual though. Regardless, it will never happen so there is no need to worry about such a thing.
@smurfboywv Lol, souls. What soul, where is it, what does it look like, and why is it important if everything thing we are as a person is all a part of our physical body? Like can a soul see without eyes, think without a brain, hear without ears, etc?
@smurfboywv No our organs keep our bodies working. There is no need for some soul because everything we are and what we do is a part of our body. There simply is no need for a soul because any function it could possibly have is already covered. Also the idea of a soul is stupid anyway because the original meaning of the word was breath, which we now know to be a normal process that is vital to our bodies and thanks to our lungs.
@xynth101088You're right about one thing, the Soul is a breath, the breath that God breathed into us when he created us. That soul will live on for eternity while our body dies, if you chose to follow Christ a better life awaits you.
@smurfboywv No the original definition for soul was simply breath, it had nothing to do with a god breathing life into us. So when you die there is no more breath because you aren't breathing anymore. Thus the soul is dead. This goes back to what the early Jews believed about an afterlife, They didn't a hell or heaven to go to your soul/breath just went out and that was it. End of story. What you are talking about was added way after the fact and has no basis in the core tenants of the religion.
@smurfboywv Yeah because there is no such thing. I didn't claim that it did anyway. The original belief is that when you die your soul or breath dies, and that is the end of it. The idea of a soul that Christians think of now is a new idea that was added into belief system to give a reason for the added idea of why people go to heaven or hell .
Just read your bible, it's pretty clear that the soul that is talked about in the OT is completely different than the one in the NT.
If there were a jury trial whereby the verdict decided the existence of a god (using the civil procedural standard of preponderance of evidence) without question it would be as follows: "We, the jury, in the case of 'A God v. The Human Race', do hereby unanimously find for The Human Race, that they are in fact free, not guilty of original sin, and no god of any kind has ever been on this earth". Case closed.
@AllNightLong3333 It's more about bringing you down to reality. Not to insult you. “I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.” - Stephen Roberts
@lukeolmstead22 I guarantee that you were abused as a kid and had no friends and sucked at sports.........im glad god made me black......see im good a sports and have a big dick at the same time
how about that ppl can see future, auras and all of that you never see God you can only expierience God. Get a life. Your mind trick you all the time you belive mind is you. Mind is only tool.
Want to see the real Garden of Eden? Take a look at my videos. I'm the guy who discovered it. As far as religion goes- it does nothing for you, but Jesus will introduce you to His Father if you'll let Him. God is real and so is lucifer. Both want you, but only 1 loves you- figure it out
(Continued quote ) "... So that we have to read Genesis for all it's worth, and to say "It's either history or myth!" is a way of saying "I am not going to study this text for what it is worth!" "I am just going to flatten it out!" so it conforms to the cultural to what my culture is telling me to ask. And I think that it is a form of being unfaithfull to the text it self." - N.T. Wright, leading Biblical Schollar, Theologian and author about Genesis.
( Continued ) "... And when I then find that people "Oh, it must have been made in six days!" etc also have a very dualistic view about how one day God is going to throw the Space-time unvierse in the trashcan and leave us sitting on a cloud playing a harp, and I say, clearly you haven't been reading the same Bible. The meaing of Genesis is that this world was made to be Gods home, Gods dwelling. He shared it with us and he now want's to rescue it and redeem it..." - leading Biblical Schollar
" I think the six days in Genesis would be interpreteted in terms of this is how you describe how people make a temple, this is a way of saying that when the good creator God made the world, he made the heaven and the Eath as the space in wich he himself was going to dwell and he shared the Earth bit with Human creatures. And to flatten that out into "this is simply telling us that the world is created in six days!" is almost perversely to avoid the real thrust of the narrative...."
Continued quote " ... missunderstood to be if it's myth therefore it is not history and vice versa. And that's just for starters, we need to lighten up about these words, and maybe finds other words, because I do think it matters...." - Leading Biblical schollar N.T. Wright about Genesis and it being a myth.
( Continued ) Leading Bible schollar N.T. Wright about Genesis "Genesis 1,2 and 3 are some of the most explosive chapters, and when anthropologists talk about a myth, what they mean is not an untrue story. What they mean is a story that is full of power for how we understand ourselves invidually, how we understand ourselves as a community. For how we understand what the human project is all about and some of its paradoxes, tragedie and so on. The mythological element however has gone..."
( Continued ) God is described as an imaterial, timeless, extremely powerful, loving, intelligent and so on Being, there are figurative speak which tries to desribe how he is in a human form, and that is quite evident through the 66 books written in different genres in the Bible. And the part about God creating the Universe and the Earth in days... You are again assuming a literal fundamental view point of the Bible that simply is wrong...
(Continued) No... You are so bad informed about Christianity... The Bible is never stating when the Universe and Earth was created... It is believed by FUNDAMENTAL NUT JOBS in the US that the Earth was created 6000 years ago, denying both scientific evidence and also missing the whole point with Genesis which was written in symbolic language. Moving on... "... By a bearded man, spent a day building the Universe and then a week building the Earth" Oh wow, could you be more ignorant.,,
Oh shit this is so bad! I hope this isn't what most Atheists belive about Christianity! I laugh so much... "Besides from the Philosophical and Scientific reasons to doubt that God exist" Nice, I like how you skip over them, I am ery interested in both fields and I don't see any contradiction, if you are seeing it, please show them instead of just stating it without backing it up. "Christianity is the belief that 6000 years ago..." Epic fail... *Facepalm*
I love these videos. Idiots will never understand theres no god. LMFAO animals of every kind fit on to one boat yep that sounds believeable. God is as real as santa clause and peter pan.
I don't believe in God, but I do like religions... many great art are based on myth, and they enriched my life so much! Religious people are scary though...
What a damn shame normal rational people have to share the planet with religious shitheads. And they are in the process of destroying the planet with war with their sick beliefs.
@Avalon400 Atheists i have met have been selfish and self centred, i know obviously there will be many pleasent atheists. But i suppose holding the belief that this is the only life we ever get, does somewhat encourage selfishness, that is, you want to have the best life possible for yourself. Again i know not all atheists are like this, but the ones i have met have been very unpleasant.
I did not quite understand this video, but i agree to that there is no god, heaven and other crap and believers are simply brainwashed idiots who waste their time going to church, and however they call it in islam and other junk. AND STOP FRICKIN' FEARING THAT 2012 SHIT AND GET A LIFE
What negatives will come from believing in God? /points back to the crusades where countless villages were destroyed and countless people were murdered by an army because they did not believe in god. nuff said tbh
You won't believe what i did two days ago. I made my college director stop believing in god, the school will be much better now without that crap. It all happened with me collecting info on a big bang and evolution theory for my project. after month of working, i finally finished it. I also saw this site (i don't remember it) - which said: "How to stop people from believing in god". It worked. I got a gold medal for the best presentation, an A+, and a perfect not-brainwashed director. NICE
great video - I would say you should include all the other carzy religions...by which I mean all of them. - Perfect song at the end...it's all just witchcraft and voodoo rituals in the name of controlling the way people think.
Maybe you should look toword the Islamic look of god! The world doesn't revolve around Christians and Christmas! Fucking Americans!! GET OUT MORE OFTEN! Discover the world, you pieces of shit, you think you know everything WELL YOU DON'T!
this is all wrong becuase it is based on many false premises due to the misconceptions of people within christanity and out side of it. (1) the bible is not the word of GOD it is a human testimony of the Word of GOD the bible was written by various men who were divinely inspired. (2) most parts of the bible are allegoricle and full of cultural metaphors (3) Jesus is the word of GOD and not GOD himself even jesus himself said many times in the gospels that he was not GOD.
Isaiah 7:20 does not say he has a beard. It says: "In the same day shall the Lord shave with a rasor that is hired, [namely], by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard." King James Bible.
It's cool to be an atheist if you want, but going too far in anything can lead you to a state of ignorance. lot of people, even professionals, never know until someone tells them thoroughly--if possible. If you know the big bang, you sort of go toe-to-toe with knowing the idea that we have a creator (that little dot). Now, people can manipulate its meaning, but it did "create" us. Therefore is God by definition. Not a deity or powerful being, but a thing that creates an entire realm of existence.
here? "And I remind you of the angels who did not stay within the limits of authority God gave them but left the place where they belonged. God has kept them securely chained in prisons of darkness, waiting for the great day of judgment" I believe that is talking about Satan and his followers, who were originally God's angels.
Thanks for your thoughts. A few problems though. You quoted some verses, but did so incorrectly.
:31 Seconds, Isaiah 7. I do believe this is an honest mistake. But if you look at the passage, it is not talking about a razor. It says this is the New living translation. "In that day the Lord will hire a “razor” from beyond the Euphrates River—the king of Assyria—and use it to shave off everything: your land, your crops, and your people."
To be completely fair: the "kinds" of animals loaded onto Noah's Ark envisioned by the illiterate folk to whom the myth was originally recited were obviously limited to the cows, chickens, pigs, camels, etc. of their own experience. Their imagination had no problem fitting them all into that enormous Ark.
Folk nowadays have to include penguins, kangaroos, giraffes, etc. in the myth - sending apologists scrambling for ways of fitting them all into the Ark's limited confines.
if all people would believe in God from the begining then i think God would not come to the world
Then u should ask god why he's been so totally absent & quiet for 2K years!! This is not how I'd expect a god to act considering that our salvation is depending on our belief (which makes absolutely no sense).
The Xian god must not be too concerned about our salvation if he can't at least take the time to make himself known. And no, the bible doesn't help...it's a mass of confusion!
@Zackperry7 One question...How can you prove a negative? Like real proof... Based on logic reason and scientific evidence... not emotion or feeling...
@OurLovingGod1 "If man was evolved from apes"... Grammar, bro... And we HAVE evolved and share common ancestors with primates... The thought of, "Well why do apes still exist today.." is infantile. That's like saying... "Hey, if cats and lions are from the same part of the branch then why do lions still exist. Both felines.
Better example is... If America colonized from the English, then why do we still have England.
Whether one believes in God is an important question. But, this video is absolutely the most childish and self-indulgent reaction to the question that I have ever seen. It as though some high school sophomore got a new video camera for his birthday recorded his random thoughts as if they were profound. I think he should go back to dreaming about cheerleaders and forgo intellectual pursuits until a later day - if ever. This video is inane!!!
@SummerSunshine1988 So if anyone has doubts about the Bible, they should go back to the same book in question for answers. That sounds like a full circle of stupidity. Religion is a hoax used to control the weak minded. Pay your faith tax.
BRAVO! Absolutely one of the most elementary ways of explaining why god does not exist that anyone should be able to understand, I can't think of a better way to explain it. Again, Bravo.
6,000 years ago? A bearded man? How about you learn a little culture. First of all, the 6,000 years old Earth comes from the Bishop Usher; however Philo of Alexandria and Saint Augustine, and other early Christians, did not believe this. The reason God is painted as a bearded man is because in the Middle ages, bearded man were a thing to respect or power. The Genesis is only represented as literature and sentimental expression of and for God.
the LORD uses a razor to cut of others hair not his own beard:
"In that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the Euphrates River—the king of Assyria—to shave your head and private parts, and to cut off your beard also."
Please point out the many errors where the bible is blatently wrong, but pls dont make such easy to spot mistakes.
There is nothing more about christianity that really pisses me off is the blind belief that it is "god's plan that innocent children should die every day of starvation while he is busy (so the christians believe) helping them win football games and getting them out of paying parking tickets.

@julecezar213 can you give me on shred of evidence of any god? i can give you proof and evidence for evolution and the big bang
thehoodlum1919 3 weeks ago
@thehoodlum1919 my evidence is this whole world, including us, you can argue all you want where all this came from, whatever conclusion you come up with, I will tell you that is just your way of calling god. evolution and big bang if you were fair should make you beleive in creation actualy rather than anything else.
julecezar213 3 weeks ago
@julecezar213 there is a diffrince between a god and explaining stuff with fact and logic
thehoodlum1919 3 weeks ago
@thehoodlum1919 you are right and it is more logic to me that there is a high power behind the universe and the laws of physics and the evolution. I just cant be a result of nothing in a mean of no design
julecezar213 3 weeks ago
@julecezar213 okay well put it this way if the laws of physics are unchangibal that includes god he either can or cannot make a rock that even he can't lift so he has limitations so he has to play by the laws of nature how did he create time before there was time to create
thehoodlum1919 3 weeks ago
@thehoodlum1919 no that does not include god, cause the laws that applied on any invention dont apply on the inventor, take a table for example, it is immobile, does not grow, think, eat, bleed, get sad or happy, and is made out of wood, nails, and paint. so can you say the same thing about the carpenter. the laws just dont apply on the carpenter. what you said about god and a rock that he cant lift is a contradiction in our laws, not in his. you have to think out of the box( means out of laws)
julecezar213 3 weeks ago
@julecezar213 if we cant use our logic to disprove him that means we cant use our logiv to prove him either
thehoodlum1919 3 weeks ago
@thehoodlum1919 that is just your point of view and that doesnt mean it is true. i could find something amazingly done and failing to know who made it doesnt mean i will fail to understand what i found. I can see and understand the universe which why we have a brain, but God is beyond that, it is really simple. creatures can and will never understand the creator or they will be the same.

Yes maybe none of it happened the thing is whoever created these beautiful tales were teaching many a lesson. all religions in general have good morals i feel all people should take in. we discover new things each day so who may even know what the world was capable of a long time ago
gunshow911 3 months ago
@gunshow911 philosophy is from religion in the same way astronomy is from astrology. Yes we discover new things each day, we can now enjoy the bounties of astronomy whilst laughing at astrology, likewise we have far superior morality in this modern age and can laugh at religion. I doubt we ever needed it, nowadays we certainly dont.
mehico33 3 months ago
@mehico33 you laughing at religion just proves ur side is complete bullshit. you dont have a clear point here your just saying theres no need for religion because of morality. you are not liking religion because theere is a basis and rules without questioning. i dont like that either but you cant tell me a person who is religious isnt living a good life. i question everything and believe only what i truly have experienced. and for that, your discriminant against religious freaks and im not one.
gunshow911 3 months ago
@gunshow911 Another nonsensical reply, ive come to expect as much from the religious (hence my laughter). The best reply to a ridiculous idea is to... RIDICULE it.
My laughter "proves" nothing, other than that I find something funny. I see you (rather typically) have a very low standard for what constitutes proof.
I "cant tell" you "a person who is religious isnt living a good life"?? Yes I can, but why would I? My point is that we dont need it.

@mehico33 laughter i just being a dick head guy. its like u obviously wont change my view but ur debating like and idiot lol. gunshow911 3 months ago

Your paddling against the stream brother, and moving backwards
mehico33 1 month ago
@mehico33 see this is where i always end the argument.

"God is not a man, that he should lie; neither son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?" Num. 23:19
Also, ISA. 7:20

In the bible, god tells humans to question it, but when you do, you're made to feel like an outsider.
dave19711998 5 months ago

TheMorriganLeFay 6 months ago
@TheMorriganLeFay Well for starters, Christians don't believe in a "bearded man" He took the Isaiah quote way out of context, aka "cherry picking" which i know theists often get accused of. Also Hes taking the old testament stories literally, many Christians don't take this part literally. Basically the whole of Christianity relies on whether Jesus rose from the dead or not, If he did, then it wouldn't surprise me at all if he did all the miracles. People should focus on the resurrection.
atheistrocker100 6 months ago
@atheistrocker100 Isa 7:20 Clearly says the Lord will take a razor to shave :) As far as not interpreting the OT as literal, there seems to be no popular consensus on which myths are literal or metaphorical. You seem to be more of a Theist Apologist than an Atheist, why is that?

roxyosox122 5 months ago
@roxyosox122 Many Christians probably do, but they are not the majority of Christians. @smurfboywv Stupid question, If something is right in front of us of course we would believe it. Weather or not we would worship it is left up to the individual though. Regardless, it will never happen so there is no need to worry about such a thing.
xynth101088 6 months ago
@xynth101088 Well its your soul, do as you wish.
smurfboywv 6 months ago
@smurfboywv Lol, souls. What soul, where is it, what does it look like, and why is it important if everything thing we are as a person is all a part of our physical body? Like can a soul see without eyes, think without a brain, hear without ears, etc?
xynth101088 6 months ago
@xynth101088 our soul is what keeps our body working. You are brainwashed.
smurfboywv 6 months ago
@smurfboywv No our organs keep our bodies working. There is no need for some soul because everything we are and what we do is a part of our body. There simply is no need for a soul because any function it could possibly have is already covered. Also the idea of a soul is stupid anyway because the original meaning of the word was breath, which we now know to be a normal process that is vital to our bodies and thanks to our lungs.
You are the brainwashed one, not me.
xynth101088 6 months ago
@xynth101088You're right about one thing, the Soul is a breath, the breath that God breathed into us when he created us. That soul will live on for eternity while our body dies, if you chose to follow Christ a better life awaits you.
smurfboywv 6 months ago
@smurfboywv No the original definition for soul was simply breath, it had nothing to do with a god breathing life into us. So when you die there is no more breath because you aren't breathing anymore. Thus the soul is dead. This goes back to what the early Jews believed about an afterlife, They didn't a hell or heaven to go to your soul/breath just went out and that was it. End of story. What you are talking about was added way after the fact and has no basis in the core tenants of the religion.
xynth101088 6 months ago
@xynth101088 The soul never dies.
smurfboywv 6 months ago
@smurfboywv Yeah because there is no such thing. I didn't claim that it did anyway. The original belief is that when you die your soul or breath dies, and that is the end of it. The idea of a soul that Christians think of now is a new idea that was added into belief system to give a reason for the added idea of why people go to heaven or hell .
Just read your bible, it's pretty clear that the soul that is talked about in the OT is completely different than the one in the NT.

Maybe you should look toword the Islamic look of god! The world doesn't revolve around Christians and Christmas! Fucking Americans!! GET OUT MORE OFTEN! Discover the world, you pieces of shit, you think you know everything WELL YOU DON'T!

@SoarVX You do know that Christianity didn't start in America, right?
StratagemBlue 9 months ago
this is all wrong becuase it is based on many false premises due to the misconceptions of people within christanity and out side of it.

Just sayin'.

1:57 Jude 1:6 I don't understand the reference...

@AHughman08
Folk nowadays have to include penguins, kangaroos, giraffes, etc. in the myth - sending apologists scrambling for ways of fitting them all into the Ark's limited confines.

if all people would believe in God from the begining then i think God would not come to the world
so think about it...there is an elephant and he is big without any arms or fingers

if all people would believe in God from the begining then i think God would not come to the world
Then u should ask god why he's been so totally absent & quiet for 2K years!! This is not how I'd expect a god to act considering that our salvation is depending on our belief (which makes absolutely no sense).
The Xian god must not be too concerned about our salvation if he can't at least take the time to make himself known. And no, the bible doesn't help...it's a mass of confusion!

@Zackperry7 Please give us your proof then! Oh and could you give a definition of what you define as proof so that we can reply to you. Thanks...

God did not create man...Man created God.
Never stop thinking...

@alexjones4president : If you have doubts, you should pray about it.

BRAVO! Absolutely one of the most elementary ways of explaining why god does not exist that anyone should be able to understand, I can't think of a better way to explain it. Again, Bravo.
tahoemack 1 year ago
6,000 years ago? A bearded man? How about you learn a little culture. First of all, the 6,000 years old Earth comes from the Bishop Usher; however Philo of Alexandria and Saint Augustine, and other early Christians, did not believe this. The reason God is painted as a bearded man is because in the Middle ages, bearded man were a thing to respect or power. The Genesis is only represented as literature and sentimental expression of and for God.
philobiology 1 year ago
ehm sorry, but quotemine alert:
the LORD uses a razor to cut of others hair not his own beard:
"In that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the Euphrates River—the king of Assyria—to shave your head and private parts, and to cut off your beard also."
Please point out the many errors where the bible is blatently wrong, but pls dont make such easy to spot mistakes.
Kind regards, NJ
