  • i just found your channel so i might be commenting on a few videos lol. I had surgery in June and My marriage has gotten better it was great to begin with but now that im able to get around and do things we have a lot more fun together and spend more quality time together Ive talked to therapists and drs; all of them have said abt marriage that if it falls apart after the surgery it wasnt because of the surgery, there were problems in the relationship before, it would have happened anyway. hth

  • I really like this reply. That's what I think too...'cause I'm questioning it myself.

  • But once he realized that, it was wonderful because we get to do so much more together now. I used to back out of going places & doing stuff all the time, now I'm ready to go all the time so he's thrilled. I think if you have a strong relationship in the first place this will only enhance it, but if your relationship is rocky that is a whole other story. He had heard horror stories & that is what had him worried. Hope this helps... Fab

  • Pt. 1 Just came across your channel today hence the late response. But I wanted to share my experience on this topic. We did go thru some unexpected issues basically stemming from my husbands insecurities, he was worried that I would end up thinking he was not good enough for me & leave him. So I really had to make time for him & make him feel special, because all the attention is basically on you when you start losing weight. So he needed to be reassured that I would not get thin & leave.

  • Just found u so this is a couple months late, but My marriage is amazingly solid, and if I hadn't had the surgery I would feel loved ,by this man, but....Oh yeah, it's better!.... I'm more active in a range of ways =} because I feel so much better, physically.

  • First of all you are not a big heffer...LOL..I love your personality. Sorry for the late response, but I just came across your channel today. I have to say that even though, I just had my surgery a few months ago and have soooo much to lose. I started out at 426 and 313 today. Even with this, my husband and I have gotten closer (in every way)..LOL.. It is great. My self esteem has been getting better because of it.

  • this is my third comment cause - i am watching all your videos at once - I am not a stalker - your personality is great - you are so pretty too. When is your date for surgery?

  • Don't worry about it. I welcome all comments. I know how it is too, I always end up watching a whole bunch of videos from one person at once and then I feel weird about leaving them another message. Like they're going to say, "Ok, leave me alone already." But, really it's not like that. Welcome. Thanks for the compliments too. I don't have a date yet. Everything's in, just waiting on my approval. Should be any day now. My surgeon thinks it should be late January or early Februrary!!

  • The surgery was a good thing for us. I am more confident in myself and he supports me 100%. I am not depressed and living in a dark place anymore.

  • Thank you all so much for the responses!! I am glad to hear good things, it is VERY encouraging. I assume there will be a tad bit of jealousy, but I'm also assuming that it will subside with time. Thanks again! It is extremely helpful to get advice and responses from REAL people! =)

  • Hey girl...So far it is a good thing...It has been good for my entire family..I feel so much more confident, I never wanted to go to anything public with him..like work functions etc. he hated that...he has always loved me and treated me like his princess..but my insecurities have kept us back from having fun. WATCH OUT WORLD HERE I COME!! :)Amyxo

  • I totally feel you about not wanting to do anything public. I feel like I just stick out so much. And not in a good way. I'm excited about wanting to enjoy those things again. Thank you for the encouragment and honesty.

  • For us, it has been a good thing. We have always had a very rock solid marriage, but since for me this surgery was purely health related, it has made life easier for us, for the most part, since I am feeling better and am more active than before.

  • I'm glad to hear that. Your words are an encouragement. Thank you so much.

  • A bad thing... Don't think so!! Who woudn't want a good looking spouse. The only tning I could complain about is that he is a little more jelous. He wants my attention all the time. SO just make sure you spend quality time with him and enjoy, enjoy enjoy.

  • Thanks for the tip. I honestly think I'll be spending more time with him anyway because I'll be more likely to attend functions with him that I normally wouldn't. I'll definitely have to remember to spend QUALITY time with him too. And I'm sure I will Enjoy enjoy enjoy. lol. Thanks again!
