Awesome! Love this song. I think it might be possible to play this song in a regular acoustic guitar. Tune the low E very low and use right hand tap the notes across the neck. Might not be smooth or exactly the same, but it is worth for someone to try. :) Anyone know the tunning? I would love to try it if I have the tunning.
@kapooktu You can play it on a regular acoustic, he is playing a standard acoustic with a big bass attached to essentially. So you can just leave out the bass if you please. I can't remember the tuning exactly though....
@akathasamurai to answer your question: yes you can get natural hamonics from the harp guitar, the way of doing it is like you would do with a normal guitar, you just wouldn't have a fingerboard to have reference from, you would have to learn by feeling
@MisterSheePz That's awesome, since he doesn't have the luxury of a fretboard he can still use the harmonics to get more than just the six open notes. Gives him a lot more options for what to play!
@akathasamurai You can get harmonics out of any string. He plays harp string harmonics in "The Friend I've Never Met" (written in the same style as "Away"). The song is all over YouTube, so you can find it easily.
why is there a piano attached to that acoustic?
