We had something similar to that here in Wisconsin just this past monday night. Nobody doesn't have any videos yet or didn't it but I think it just might sounded like that.

This was the collapse of a massive tunnel network extending all the way to virginia; the 2 quakes occurred at the exit points. The sound heard was the gas venting from the instantaneous 20 fold increase in atmospheric pressure in the tunnels causing the 2 sounds heard and the 2 earth quakes felt.

it's weird that i live in colorado and this video inspired me to look it up on google because i don't remember hearing about a quake here but it says there was a 5.3 near the new mexico border. It sounds to me like cthulhu is a broncos fan.

Yeah this woke me up I work night's so i sleep during the day and I'm like who the heck is banging in something. And I live in p west so thats how far this sound is traveling. But the sound I heard before the Tokyo quake was ten or more times faster and higher pitched.
