I think that is just a straight stitch on a fairly old industrial sewing machine.
If you are sewing curves like on the coin purse, you can just use a shorter stitch length, go slowly, and pivot a little bit as you go, until you have had more experience with your sewing machine.
can you please let me know which presser foot you are using for this purse? It seems like you have total flexibilty for curves? I am a novice sewer- I have a brother machine
