This can not be held in Vancouver. If ati-atihan festival is held in January, then there is no way this is Vancouver. It gets bloody cold here in Vancouver. January is the dead of Winter.

@3buLUNOK ati-atihan festival is not about the tribe performances but it's more about people's participation. It was intended as a freestyle in order for everyone to join the merrymaking and not just for tourists to be a plain observers. Hence, tourists are keep on coming back every year to celebrate ati-atihan because they felt they're part of it. Proud to call it the mother of all festival. And it's an honor to be the original and be copied by others to help them promote their community.
@3buLUNOK because its a traditional dance! its how the ati's showed gratitude to the datu's arrived in aklan,its how aeta dance...compared to the imitations that they changed the the tradition and included some choreography like dinagyang and sinulog.! ati atihan is a freestyle dancing, merrymaking, its our way to say thank you hala bira puera pasma! viva kay senior sto nino!
