  • Nice car! Au. DonC?

  • what exhaust manifold? RPS?

  • okay so its a rhd so its in canada no question, and a couple signs said coast so this has got to be BC, or QC, unless this is cali and your car is illegal

  • are you in the us?

  • lol this is a horrible video.

i will get a new one this spring and i will rev the piss out of it in the same underground parking area.

  • @adamgm84 lol i set off car alarms with my slightly modded rb25...this thing would probly shatter windows haha

  • boring

  • Wow, 5k rpm? You have to rev pretty high eh, not really a street turbo by any means... I'm thinking more towards 0.84 a/r T04Z, bit better response (Full boost around 4200 rpm) and rated 700-750 rwhp is more than enough for me heh :)

  • @SICsupraman powerband is good imo. 5k-8k rpm and makes great power under the curve.

it has 1.0 backside, and i find the lag very managable with downshifting with the 6 speed.... for street driving

its responsive as fuck if your past 4k rpm,

back when my wastegate wasnt hooked up it would build around 5 psi by 4k rpm and then somewhere around 4k-5k your vision would go all blurry and it would suddenly boost like 30psi

the responsiveness is a treat when you downshift beside someone

  • I never really took tunnel vision seriously, I didn't think it occured in anything other then NFS games haha. Sounds good eh, what do you reckon about the T04Z though? I'm looking at something for the occasional highway pull/drag and track days and also as a steetable daily with fast response (for a single) and the T04Z has always been a favourite of mine. I love the sound of the T51 but If I were to use the car daily and pushing those RPM's all day just to boost, I'm sure I would have issues.

  • @SICsupraman no idea man, i havent studied t04z turbos

but youd prolly want something like 60-67mm turbo with a 0.64 or 0.83 hotside

log manifold with t3 flange gt35r will make almost 500wheel hp at mid 3000's rpm and destroy pretty much anything on the street on a 2jz

but youll need to add tires to your monthly bill imo

  • T67 you reckon? Interesting, I will study up on them. I wouldn't go with the Gt3540 as that is the stock option for the Ford XR6's and doesn't seem right putting it in my Supra hah. Oh another question I don't completely understand is; what would the difference be between a T04Z and T51R if say T04Z had 0.84 rear housing to the T51's 0.91 rear housing? Wouldn't they spool at fairly similar times to each other, or are there other factors I've missed? Cheers.

  • @SICsupraman 67mm is about one of the bigger turbos you'd want on the street

its generally always a game of sacrificing spool for power

my turbo, a t51r kai is a 70.3mm compressor wheel among other critical specs

you cannot simply compare backsides of turbos like 0.64 0.83 0.91 1.0 A/R because that number is a ratio from the centerline of the housing outlet to the center of the turbine shaft

so you should research aspect ratio to find out more about what is happening there

  • @SICsupraman t04z wil be more responsive on the 3 litre and probably less power. i dont even know anything about those turbos.

backpressure will limit your top end power, and bigger hotside housings will generally make it easier to make more power on pump gas.

the perfect turbo for you will depend on your engine and mods and what you intend to do with the car.

  • @adamgm84

    Truuee Dude !!!

Im Runing a T51r SPL myself with full head rebuilt and engine !! Response is ok !!!

Give the new Turbonetics GTK-1000 a look !! They Claim spools reaallyy fast compared to similar turbo sizes !!! looks awesome as well !!!

  • @adamgm84 @SICsupraman

agreed. GT35 is good for street, in fact you could even go for a GT30 like Amuse did(I think it was amuse). GT4088R is for a 3.4L stroker motor and anything above is drag, in my opinion. BNR sequentials are also good, but pricey as opposed to a single. Those new EFR turbos and turbos from billet turbos(billet is the brand) seem to good, but not many people use them. Billet do work for the Australian Air Force or something

, so they should be good.

  • @adamgm84 @SICsupraman

GAS Motorsports also used a billet turbo in their 2041HP 2JZ. Must be worth something. However, a single Billet item costs about the same as a twin set up, so choose wisely. Anyway, it really comes down to you. Some consider a GT4088R streetable, some don't. Application is also important. But enough of my rambling. Go sequentials if the cops are fucktards in your state.

  • its amazing. its not tuned yet... still.... though so i cant comment accurately atm

fit and finish is top notch as always from hks.

there might be better technology turbos out there than t04r nowadays.... but it will sound amazing if its anti surge

mine hits with 900 tons of bricks at just less than 5k rpm

  • so how do you like the t51r for the supra? i was thinking about the t04r kit......hows the fit and finish from hks?

  • nice man and tnx for the vids, I want more ;)

  • @Supralover79 ima have lots but i can drive the car properly right now she isnt tuned so i cant boost it and its quite painful to drive like that when the turbo keeps tryin to spool :)

  • ye man, I understand! take very good care of it! love your supra dude!

  • lol i need to get my turbo crx tuned, allso I have video go cheak it out.=)

  • beautiful rz bro

  • thx sir, still not tuned though :)
