This is about a 5yo toy from radioshack, I had one, they cost about $100 new back then. they are really fun, buy a backup battery or 2 though they run out quick. Its fast, a bit to fast for little kids as one time I ran it full speed into a plywood ramp that was to steep and it went through it instead of on and over it. the tracks and tires come with it, tires are about 10x faster then the tracks.

i lived on radio shack rc cars when i was young.... at a certain time of year you could get them for like 7o% off. my friends and i would save up and buy a bunch of them and get some fireworks, pellet guns, and other dangerous stuff and bash all day long untill all the rcs were broken. good cheap fun if you buy on sale
