You need to check with your network provider to see what frequency they operate on. The V2 can operate on GSM frequency 900/1800 or 1900 MHz. I know this covers parts of the US, but again check with your network provider.
Yes you can either charge through the USB Port in the side of the watch or you can use the supplied cradle charger and charge batteries from the wall. The V2 is supplied with two batteries, so you have always got one as a backup.
