1st. This is NOT HACKING!

2nd. There is no custom setup there is Limited and Admin therefore Limited CANT CHANGE ADMIN PASSWORD.

You couldn't change the password because you didn't have admin privilages, there is no 'special code' that an administrator would put in place to prevent you from changing a password using that method, you need to be an administrator or have the correct privilages to change a password that way.

Get backtrack/any linux live cd

Load it up and go into the terminal

Access the windows drive

Go to the System32 folder

Rename Utilman.exe and rename cmd.exe to utilman.exe

Reboot

At the login screen press Windows+U

Start,-->RUN--> "cmd.exe" TYPE IN "net user administrator *" It will say type a new password. type a new password, restart and then type the password in the administrator log :)

( note: if your account is named something elese, replace it with administrator)

Good Point: It makes you look like you have a clue about computers.
