  • @WestWide Ive also had thinning hair and the early stages of male hair loss for almost 6yrs and have tried different products. Then I came across the net and found this hair loss site HairLoss101. net (w/o space) and tried it.. After 3months of use, my hair regrew where it was before :))

  • Any time you put heat in your hair you will get breakage cuz natural hair was not meant to put extensive heat in it

  • HELLO WE HAVE A GREAT PRODUCT FOR MEN AND WOMEN WITH BALDNESS AND BREAKAGE ITS CALLED ZX 42 JUST WATCH OUR VIDEO CALLED IMPEACH BALDNESS FOREVER VIDEO 4 , WE HAVE OUR WEBMALL SET UP FOR ORDERS NOW

  • Thanks for sharing as I am currently experiencing hair loss and breakage.

  • all thats mumbo jumbo...you need the turbotron 27..i have made a video about my turbotron27...just search for it on here...clear proof it restores hair....guaranteed...

  • I'm experiencing the exact same thing down to your crown isseus and the breakage and the longest part of your hair lol

  • I'm 37 weeks pregnant and have been dealing with breakage in certain areas since the beginning of my natural hair journey, which is basically the beginning of my pregnancy. Thanks for the video and the info in the description box. It is just hair and my breakage is probably because of my pregnancy b/c I take very good care of my hair, in my opinion.

  • yes, it's just hair, but thx for this vid. i needed to hear this today. my eyes were welling up just listening to this, lol. i need to get it together!

  • Thank you... what you said, "It's just hair , it will grow back" helps me. :)

  • Have you tried aragon oil?

  • it is just hair!! shoot girl i have to go to school every day!!!!

  • Good advice!

  • I found that taking boitin helps ur hair grow faster. Also moroccan oil or moroccan hair creme helps keep hair moisturized w/out being greasy. Ur hair drinks it in. You cant put too much in. Ive tried to see if it would get greasy, it never did. I have super thin/dry hair. It really helps w/breakage/keeping it soft.

  • Do you still use FutureBiotics vitamins?

  • girl i just sent you a message please read it!!

  • BEST video I've seen yet! I have been naturally for 3 years and about a year ago, I started losing hair at my crown/scalp. I saw my Dermatologist and she said all of my cycles just happen to be going on at the same time which is why the sudden clump losses. I feel finally, a year later, that has slowed. I wash my hair everyday to style curly, but now I am EXTRA careful when shampooing and styling not to rip hair out just to detangle. Also, I take my vitamins, biotin, B12, multi.

  • Breakage is one thing, hair loss (balding) is another. I seen your video recommending vitamins. Do you know of any natural cures for this using herbs?

  • @marlarice: I placed a natural treatment I give my clients on my site, I placed it there for those with hair issues to use. I will only leave it on display for a few more days.

  • @4chango Thanks.

  • My crown is the worst part of my hair too. When I wore my hair in a relaxer, the front and crown grew the fastest; the back seemed like it would never grow. Now that my hair is natural, the back grows fast; the crown and front grow slow. So, right now, there is a lot of uneven hair on my head. I am going to try twists or braids to give my hair a break from the piking out and daily manipulating to see if that helps with the breakage and loss. I have BC'd twice.

  • Did anyone ever tell you you look like Sade ? I just find her sooooo BEAUTIFUL, so yes, it is a compliment :)

  • I wish it was just hair. Have u ever watched the videos of ladies w/a thinning hairline (Alopecia).

  • @crownofhisglory-THAT'S EXACTLY WHERE MY HAIR BREAKS LOL! Now I only use natural styles and I braid the crown with olive oil and leave in conditioner. IT REALLY WORKS.

    Thanks

  • I've been reading articles posted every Monday about natural hair on a website called ColumbusBlack out of Columbus, OH. It has helped me in my natural hair care journey. I've experienced lots of hair breakage and these articles have helped me manage my natural hair.

  • i dont understand,my hair doesnt break when i pull em

but when i comb my hair,it break in half..

  • I am so scared. My hair is breaking really badly, but it never got that bad until 8 months ago. I believe it's because of the chemicals. I would perm it, then after a while I would put extensions in it. I'm only 14, so I don't have a job and my mom doesn't care. Watching these videos is making me cry because my hair is really unhealthy and idk what to do. I was not willing to go natural because it was so short and damaged, so I keep braiding it with extensions and weaving it. HELP!! ;-(

  • @babyvae14 you would need to stop using chemicals on your hair if it's breaking in order for it to regain strength. you also need to use INTENSIVE deep conditioners and not use heat in your hair until you can see a professional for help. Good Luck!

  • @babyvae14 if u don't stop with the chemicals and heat etc. your hair will be short anyway. You have to stop putting so much stress on your hair if you ever want it to be healthy. Do some research on protective hairstyles and give your hair a break. You don't have to go natural but you can reduce the stress on your hair.

  • I chopped the pieces off and style my hair back to curly until its long enough then I will go to a salon to flat iron...I won't do it myself. LOL

  • wow, your hair looks my hair. so frizzy.

    this video is good =)

  • You are so beautiful!

  • i like this video b/c we get on the blogs and get all obsessed with length and are traumatized by setbacks but that jsut gives us an oppoertunity to learn from our mistakes and re-evaluate our regimens and start over

  • My hair breaks at the crown as well! It's the tightest and driest part of my hair and I had to cut it today...I just want my hair back!

  • i'm having the same problem with heat damage and breakage..

  • @pretty11717: Have you tried a herbal treatment?

  • Yeah my hair is like yours I think its coily but it soft like yours.

  • Thanks for this video.

  • HELP...My hair was very long but it is getting short now it is coming out at an alarming rate. WHAT SHOULD I DO? I am only 25 years old and everyone is worried about me because they say that this is not normal.

  • @MrMikealy A normal scalp will shed from 50 to 100 hairs per day, anything more then that should be investigated.

  • PurdyBear1

    Thanks.

  • @MrMikealy men can lose their hair young but if its happening fast it could be alopecia. ask your doctor

  • @MrMikealy: Have you tried to the naturopathic approach? I will leave the treatmennt on my site for only a a few more days, then I will remove it.

  • a real good hair care line is carol daugthers.

  • i love ur channel totally HOT ... =] stay bless & keep up the great work, i added u so if u would like me 2 sub just let me know sub back if u like, be bless doll

  • There arn't many hair care tips for black hair on tv or done as big productions. Its also a more reliable source if its done by black women for black women verses product producers like pantene.

  • Where can i get that hairline essential cream at please tell me, i have an issue with a receeding hairline!! Ahh thank's for the tips:)

  • taa

  • nice video

  • I am experiencing breakage from heat and harsh combing right now so it is extremely encouraging to know I am not alone. I love how you said it is just hair and it will grow back and you are so right and we just need reminding sometime. We put so much time and effort in our hair so the ups and downs can have some seriouse effects on our self esteem but it's just hair.. I have changed my regimen to no heat and protective style and deep cond once a week and protein bi-weekly.. thanks for the vid

  • Why can't more of em be like you?

    Seriously

  • I had some breakage after having my son

really bad ands in the same place as you. so while i am relaxed i began to relax less

and baby the area that was breaking almost all of it is back

  • u so pretty

  • sounds great! where can U purchase those products?

  • Great tips. Thanks now i feel better.

  • you have beautiful hair...

  • SADE smooth operator. you are her celebrity look a like. so cool.

  • I need a trim badly but no in days you go to some of these shops they chop all of you hair off and/or they say they don't know how to do natural hair. its been 2yrs since my relaxed hair and I have been getting sew-ins, braids and I just did my first kinky twist. Check out my pics and videos on facebook. I owe it to all the women on youtube for my hair care journey thank you all for posting your videos.

  • It's not worth it. Your hair will end up being weak and damaged due to the chemicals in the perm. I'm transitioning from a relaxer to natural hair now, and trust me hair without chemicals is much much stronger and healthier than hair with chemicals slathered on it.

  • Comment removed

  • actually hair grows the same as any one else. It's just that some people perm and braid their hair too much it looks like it never grows. all the chemiclas kill their hair.

  • I used to use wanakee products to. I was crazy about it until the company switched hands and they went crazy on the prices. The two products you mentioned are good though.

  • I experienced breakage this year as I was learning how to flat iron my hair and what products worked etc. I wear wash and go styles or two-strand twists now and will continue until it begins to get alittle chilly here in the Windy City (October). It always grows my hair.

  • Great tips! I have my hair in braids now because I can't stand dealing with it now during this heat.

  • Wow! I have the same issue at the crown of my head! How did you deal with damage in the crown? I don't want to cut all my hair into a little fro in the name of evening it all out. Thanks sooo much for doing this vid and sharing.

  • :o) Thank You!

  • Thank you for sharing..

Great video and lotsof good information!

  • my edges are gong and my hair line well its not going but its breaking a bit and i dont know why but could u please help me i am going to put a video up so you can wtch it i will put it up in a few hours but can u please mail me some tips please thank you x.

  • It's good to know that I'm not the only one experiencing hair breakage. Thank you for sharing.

  • Thanks for sharing. Please join me on a no heat challenge. I have not used heat since 5/9/09. I was a little nervous and skeptical about what others would say at first, but I have to admit ... I've become much bolder despite my hair issues. Continued success in your hair journey and God Bless!

  • Hey Natural Diva 10. I'm really curious about how you care your hair without heat. I stopped using heat (lightly blow-drying) in Feb and kept receiving increasing hair knots and split ends like I've never seen in my life by April/May. I have started locs and I'm not going back to loose right now but I'm just a little curious about your regimen. Please respond here or send me a message. I'd appreciate it.

  • Every week, I wash, deep condition, roller set and air dry overnight. In the mornings, I use a little oil and separate my curls. To maintain this look, I moisturize, pin curl at night, and sleep in a satin cap. It is so important to trim your ends on a regular basis to prevent knots and split ends. Hope this helps.

  • Hmmm. OK. If I'm ever a loose natural again I may try the roller-set thing. Your regimen sounds pretty cool actually. Wish I could have tried it earlier and sen the result. Thanks for responding!

  • awesome vid

  • you are right but at the same time all hair has the ability to break, it's jus that the way our hair is built (flat instead of round) it is more vunerable to breakage...

  • Great video. Yes looking at your hair, I did not notice the breakage. I was assuming that with everything you were doing with your hair it was not breaking. Thank you for informing us. Regardless if we are natural or relaxed, it is all a learning process. It would be nice if we were born with the knowledge on how to care for our hair the best way. I am bad with hair but still learning thanks to YT. :)

  • It IS only hair--it will grow back

    I, too, appreciate your honesty.

Not everyone w/ a YT channel shares BOTH the highs & lows, especially regarding heat damage.

Sometimes folks will just say they want to "try something new", they're "tired of their natural hair"& put in extension braids, wigs etc. without explaining to their viewers exactly why. Which almost certainly confuses people.

These are very helpful tips. Everyone will benefit from your information, HONESTY & encouragement!

  • thank you for sayin "its just hair! it will grow back!"....so refreshing to hear...thank you for your honesty about your hair!....

  • Have you stopped using heat? Your hair would look great without straightening it.

  • honestly sister i thought that only relaxed hair get damage from heat.

  • Naturals most definitely can get hair damage from excessive heat!
