basicaly if your pickiong down, and the next string has the next note on it, you continue to pick down on it instead of picking the opposite way and picking up, its a bit like lots of mini sweeps when you move up or down a string aslong as the next note corisponds with your up or down stroke. bad explaination, i know, but thats the basics of it.

I had been using the technique for arpeggios for many years, but about 9 years ago I began using the technique for my scale lines and ideas and liked the sound and the extra speed! I would say it took me a month two of steady work to get really comforatble with it.

basically all you have to do is play less notes and have good amplifier so you have a proper guitar sound
