Nitro is a peice of shit..... I like Jeeps and some dodge vehicles, but the nitro is bad.. Our neighbor got one a year ago, its already leaking fluid from the transmission. I checked it out and my hand was coverd in pink fluid the RTV real is poor.. His girlfriend got a 2011 nitro and within 4 days a huge oil stain is in her parking spot and drip marks from when she back's up. transmission is leaking They brought it to the dealership and they said everything was fine.... Yea ok BS

Yes the Nitro has "True Style". True American Classic "HotRod" Style. If it makes you sick to your tummy, maybe you are afraid it will bite. You should swallow another Audi jelly bean pill to make yourself feel all better. Do you even know what a "solid rear axle" means, or have you been coddled by your mothers tit for too long? It HAS a DIFFERENTIAL attached to axle housing tubes with no flex, as opposed to I.R.S. It offers far better stability for hauling or towing.

To me that car looks like a piece of junk. It hurts to look at it, the interior is made out of cheap plastic and looks terrible, and the engine looks big and cheap. I'd take a RAV4, Tiguan, Outlander, CR-V, or almost anything other than that. I mean honestly, how much do you NOT want that car.

The Tiguan, Outlander and Rav4 all look so alike, with almost exacting proportions. They look decent, but there is nothing unique about them at all. The CRv might be good if you were robbing a bank, because you woudn't get noticed at all. Or if you wanted to kill yourself you could just stare at the CRv, and you would die of boredom. The Nitro has classic "HotRod" looks that will still look good 30 years from now.

Besides there aren't many rear wheel drive compact SUVs out there, besides the toyota fj cruiser and nissan xterra which are both ugly. The only other I can think of is the Mercedes GLK, but that's a little pricey.

They did not say what realy makes the nitro and the liberty differnt. The liberty has 4lo the nitro does not. I have taken my 08 liberty off road and with out the 4lo it woudl not have been able too Also the liberty needs a lift. i put a 3.5 inch lift on mine and it look mean now.

Just like the guy says, I use mine as a street car and think it's actually not a bad car, for the money. I got the RT with leather. I'm not that happy with the chinsey qual. of the interior and I was shocked when I realized my 20" wheels turned out to be covered with glorified hubcaps they call "Chrome-clad aluminum" I just call it cheap. I do have to wonder if this review wasn't bought though. I have 23k on mine and have not had a problem, but to give the int such rave reviews is just wrong.

I agree with what you said about the Nitro. It gets a lot of bad-mouthing from "The Industry". I was a little shocked with the construction quality, I got the RT and those nice big wheels are actually just covered with glorified hub caps. I bought the car because I'm 6'3"/220ibs and needed the room. Also my buddy builds the 1500 up in Detroit and he gave me his "Employee Choice" discount. I have to say I'm pretty happy w/ it. 23K and no problems.

You might want to check Consumer Reports owner satisfaction ratings for the Nitro, they are almost at the bottom of the list.

Rented a four wheel drive version from Dollar, if your interested in buying one I beleive it more than worth it the four wheel frive handled just like the jeep Wrangler X That we had, but about 10K less in price.. We are looking at purchasing a 4x4 model in white. Putting 33's on it and having some fun.Despite what the sticker says about gas milage I noticed around 29-30 mpg at 65mph. 02.01.09 Rental date.

Yeah the Nitro may not be that great stock but it's an awesome car to tune. I've got the sXt model and have thus far pulled around 360 whp out of my 3.7 with a combo of induction mods and other engine performance mods (jet stage 2 tune and chip). The nitro is a bad ass SUV for people under 25, which is precisely what Dodge was going for. Fuckin punters.

I had a loaded out R/T... let me tell you... THIS VEHICLE IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF CRAP. Resale value is pathetic. Gas mileage is pathetic, interior room is dismal, ergonomics is poor...
