Baker and Barbirolli made two recordings of this. And one in particular Barbirolli wanted to be played at his own funeral. This is simply sublime. Love Janet Baker.

Well -- there are many fine performances of this lied, male and female, and I love a good many of them. But this is the one for me. Also a very moving montage of images, some of which I have never seen.
